Challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and design responses in public space: Towards strategies for resilient post-Covid cities

The Covid-19 pandemic triggered governments and designers to revalue and redesign public spaces. This paper focuses on the various design responses to Covid-19 proposed and implemented in public spaces. In particular, we identify the kinds of challenges that such design responses address and the strategies that they use. We selected 56 design examples, largely collected from internet sources. By analyzing the design examples we identified five Covid-related challenges that were addressed in public space: sustaining amenities, keeping a distance, feeling connected, staying mentally healthy, and expanding health infrastructures. A decomposition approach for multidimensional knapsacks with family-split penalties

The optimization of Multidimensional Knapsacks with Family-Split Penalties has been introduced in the literature as a variant of the more classical Multidimensional Knapsack and Multi-Knapsack problems. This problem deals with a set of items partitioned in families, and when a single item is picked to maximize the utility, then all items in its family must be picked. Items from the same family can be assigned to different knapsacks, and in this situation split penalties are paid. This problem arises in real applications in various fields. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wychowanie ekumeniczne w ujęciu nowych dokumentów programowych nauczania religii w przedszkolu i w szkole. Zostały one zatwierdzone w 2018 r. i będą obowiązywały od 1 września 2020 r. Obecnie trwają prace nad nowymi seriami podręczników. Starano się więc zauważyć, na ile zawarte w nowych dokumentach propozycje mogą inspirować katechetyków i katechetów w zakresie wychowania ekumenicznego.
