This paper aims at examining the impact of eTwinning experience on empowering future teachers’ intercultural awareness within two different international eTwinning projects. The first project “What kind of World do we want?” has been given start in October 2021 and apart from University of Palermo it involves two different universities from Turkey. The LANN technique to reduce postoperative functional morbidity in laparoscopic radical pelvic surgery

BACKGROUND: We investigated the feasibility and advantages of introducing Laparoscopic Neuro-Navigation (LANN) into the field of laparoscopic gynecologic radical pelvic surgery. STUDY DESIGN: In a prospective pilot study, 261 consecutive patients underwent laparoscopic radical pelvic surgery for cervical cancer or deep infiltrating endometriosis of the parametria. During the procedure, dissection and electrostimulation, and consequently, sparing of the pelvic parasympathetic nerves by transection of the parametria, were performed. The effects on orange juice batch pasteurization in an improved pilot-scale microwave (MW) oven was evaluated by monitoring pectin methyl-esterase (PME) activity, color, carotenoid compounds and vitamin C content. Trials were performed on stirred orange juice heated at different temperatures (60, 70, 75, and 85 degrees C) during batch process. MW pilot plant allowed real-time temperature control of samples using proportional integrative derivative (PID) techniques based on the infrared thermography temperature read-out.
