Le tracce dell'esegesi paremiografica di Didimo nella tradizione scolastica

This article aims to recognize the remains of Didymus’ scholarly activity related to exegesis on proverbs inside the scholiastic corpora of tragic and comic poets, which, as it happens in the Demosthenic commentary preserved in P.Berol. inv. 9780 (11, 52-12, 33), in some cases show a significant relationship with later paroemiographical sources. These evidences are examined in order to determine whether or not Didymus and Lucillus of Tarrhae might have transposed into their collections of proverbs the historical and mythographical material used by themselves to enrich commentaries and technical works.

The work focusses on a “geolinguistic” analysis of a group of proverbs from the area of Madonie (Sicily) collected in Sottile-Genchi (2011). The aim of the article is to shed light on the relation between the paremiologic repertoire and the main geographic and cultural features characterising the geographic area. In particular, this aspect implies both a paremiologic (micro)variation depending on the geomorphological peculiarities of each spot and an analysis of the relationship among those (humans and animals) who share the same places by which discover old superstitions and a specific socio-cultural background.

Una componente cruciale del linguaggio è rappresentata dal sistema prosodico poiché fornisce elementi essenziali al parlante su come un enunciato debba essere interpretato o inteso (Aglioti, 2009; Davidson, 2003). Crescente interesse da parte dei ricercatori riguarda, inoltre, la comprensione del linguaggio figurato (Benelli e Bellacchi, 2007).
