Precision measurements of B(D+→μ+νμ), the pseudoscalar decay constant fD+, and the quark mixing matrix element |Vcd|

We report a measurement of the branching fraction B(D+ -> mu(+)nu(mu)) = [3.71 +/- 0.19(stat) +/- 0.06(sys)] x 10(-4) based on 2.92 fb(-1) of data accumulated at root s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. This measurement, in conjunction with the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element vertical bar V-cd vertical bar determined from a global Standard Model fit, implies a value for the weak decay constant f(D+) = (203.2 +/- 5.3 +/- 1.8) MeV. Additionally, using this branching fraction measurement together with a lattice QCD prediction for f(D+), we find vertical bar V-cd vertical bar 0.2210 +/- 0.0058 +/- 0.0047. Case in favor of theN*(1700)(3/2−)

Using an interaction extracted from the local hidden-gauge Lagrangians, which brings together vector and pseudoscalar mesons, and the coupled channels rho N (s wave), pi N (d wave), pi Delta (s wave), and pi Delta (d wave), we look in the region ofv root s = 1400-1850 MeV and find two resonances dynamically generated by the interaction of these channels, which are naturally associated to N*(1520)(3/2(-)) and N*(1700)(3/2(-)). N*(1700)(3/2(-)) appears neatly as a pole in the complex plane. The free parameters of the theory are chosen to fit the pi N (d-wave) data. Abstract We study the isospin breaking in the reactions χ c 1 → π 0 π + π − and χ c 1 → π 0 π 0 η and its relation to the a 0 ( 980 ) − f 0 ( 980 ) mixing, which was measured by the BESIII Collaboration. We show that the same theoretical model previously developed to study the χ c 1 → η π + π − reaction (also measured by BESIII), and further explored in the predictions to the η c → η π + π − , can be successfully employed in the present study. We assume that the χ c 1 behaves as an S U ( 3 ) singlet to find the weight in which trios of pseudoscalars are created, followed by the final state interaction of pairs of mesons to describe how the a 0 ( 980 ) and f 0 ( 980 ) are dynamically generat…
Study of a possible S=+1 dynamically generated baryonic resonance

Starting from the lowest order chiral Lagrangian for the interaction of the baryon decuplet with the octet of pseudoscalar mesons we find an attractive interaction in the $\Delta K$ channel with L=0 and I=1, while the interaction is repulsive for I=2. The attractive interaction leads to a pole in the second Riemann sheet of the complex plane and manifests itself in a large strength of the $\Delta K$ scattering amplitude close to the $\Delta K$ threshold, which is not the case for I=2. Search for newπ0-like particles produced in association with aτ-lepton pair

We report on a search in e^+e^− annihilations for new π^0-like particles produced in association with a τ-lepton pair. These objects, with a similar mass and similar decay modes to π^0 mesons, could provide an explanation for the non-asymptotic behavior of the pion-photon transition form factor observed by the BABAR Collaboration. No significant signal is observed, and limits on the production cross section at the level of 73 fb or 370 fb, depending on the model parameters, are determined at 90% confidence level. These upper limits lie below the cross section values needed to explain the BABAR form factor data.

SINGLE PHOTON DECAYS OF THE $Z^0$ AND SUSY WITH SPONTANEOUSLY BROKEN R-PARITY

Spontaneous violation of R parity can induce rare single photon decays of the $Z^0$ involving the emission of (nearly) massless pseudoscalar Goldstone bosons, majorons, as well as massive CP even or CP odd spin zero bosons that arise in the electroweak breaking sector of these models. We show that the majoron emitting decays can have a sizeable branching ratio of $10^{-5}$ or so, without conflicting any experimental observation from neutrino physics or particle searches. These decays may lead to interesting structures for the single photon spectrum involving either mono chromatic photons as well as continuous spectra that grow with energy. Limits on associated production of visibly and invisibly decaying Higgs bosons from Z decays

Many extensions of the standard electroweak model Higgs sector suggest that the main Higgs decay channel is "invisible", for example, $h \to J J$ where $J$ denotes the majoron, a weakly interacting pseudoscalar Goldstone boson associated to the spontaneous violation of lepton number. In many of these models the Higgs boson may also be produced in association to a massive pseudoscalar boson (HA), in addition to the standard Bjorken mechanism (HZ). We describe a general strategy to determine limits from LEP data on the masses and couplings of such Higgs bosons, using the existing data on acoplanar dijet events as well as data on four and six $b$ jet event topologies. Search for neutral Higgs bosons from supersymmetry in Z decays

The light scalar Higgs boson h and the pseudoscalar Higgs boson A of the minimal supersymmetric standard model have been searched for in the processes e+e−→hff and e+e−→hA using data collected by ALEPH at the LEP e+e− collider, with center of mass energies at and near the Z peak. Using a variety of signatures adapted to various mass ranges for h and A, we have excluded a large domain in the parameter space. For large values of ν2ν1, the ratio of the vacuum expectation values of the two Higgs fields, the whole range from 0 to 38.8 GeV is excluded for Mh and MA at 95% CL.
