The genus Pterocephalus (Dipsacaceae) in Morocco

In Morocco the genus Pterocephalus ADANS. (Dipsacaceae) is represented by two species: Pterocephalus depressus COSSON & BALANSA, endemic in the Grand Atlas and Pterocephalus kunkelianus PERIS, ROMO & STUBING sp. nova, endemic in the central part of the Rif mountains. Information on the nomenclature, morphology, ecology and distribution of both taxa in Morocco is given here and original illustrations are also included.
