Up with ecology, down with economy? : The consolidation of the idea of climate change mitigation in the global public sphere

Building on theories of valuation and evaluation, we develop an analytical framework that outlines six elements of the process of consolidation of an idea in the public sphere. We then use the framework to analyse the process of consolidation of the idea of climate change mitigation between 1997 and 2013, focusing on the interplay between ecological and economic evaluations. W artykule omawiane są przemiany społeczne w Polsce, przyniesione przez państwowy socjalizm po drugiej wojnie światowej. Opierając się na założeniu o „prześnionej rewolucji” (Leder 2014), argumentuje, że metody, którymi ówczesne władze mobilizowały ludzi do działania, nosiły znamiona partycypacji społecznej, choć w wielu przypadkach była to partycypacja inspirowana, a nawet wymuszona. Jako element mobilizacji społecznej przyczyniła się do uprawomocnienia klas niższych – robotników i chłopów. Osiemnastowieczna sfera publiczna o charakterze mieszczańsko-obywatelskim jest dla Jürgena Habermasa najdoskonalszą formą sfery publicznej. espanolEl presente trabajo reconstruye argumentativamente el sentido de la idea de una ciudadania postsecular desde la perspectiva de Jurgen Habermas, a la luz de su trayectoria y produccion bibliografica. En primer lugar, ofrecemos una periodizacion de su trayectoria intelectual de acuerdo con la atencion prestada y la consideracion que juega la cuestion religiosa en cada una de las fases.
