Global Public Sector and Political Communication

2019

Public and political organizations exist to maintain societies in more or less democratic settings. Both political and public sector organizations have traditionally been blamed for several ills in society including inefficiency, bureaucracy, serving their own needs above others’ and corruption. Though each public sector and political organization is a product of its own time and environment, there seem to be certain global trends that challenge them: rapid change, use of social media, citizen diversity, and novel forms of citizen activism for example question the more traditional means of communication. Le Potenzialità del Trust come Veicolo Istituzionale Prescelto per Responsabilizzare il Terzo Settore nel Recupero e nella Valorizzazione del Patrimo…

2019

Getting a Grip on the Private Sport Sector in Europe

2017

Contemporary sport is organized and developed around public, voluntary and private sectors. Especially public and voluntary sport sectors have been approached in recent publications in Europe, where sport has traditionally been formed around state involvement and non-profit sport clubs. Private sport sector has received less attention in research because the field is multidimensional, fragment and difficult to define. Private sport sector comprises all profit making, commercial companies and other organisations and events that produce and sell sport goods and services with the aim of making monetary profit. The demand for sport-related products and services has been growing for many years. …

POLICY INNOVATION AND IMPLEMENTATION IN PUBLIC SECTOR: COMPLEXITIES, DYNAMICS AND UNCERTAINTIES

This research is expected to contribute to the knowledge base on how an effective impact assessment and adoption of innovations in the public sector could be facilitated. The need for trans-disciplinary assessment of the long-term potential impacts of innovation-driven policies may well be met with system dynamics as part of the dynamic performance management approach by way of modelling based simulation and analysis. Moreover, such analysis may contribute to learning and the accumulation of a knowledge repository that enables strategy developers, policy designers and decision makers to arrive at unexpected (often called counterintuitive) conclusions prior to policy implementation. Such ins…

2015

The emergence of e-government changed the world of the Public Administration (PA) and the discipline of Public Management dramatically. A Triple-Helix Model of Sustainable Government Information Infrastructure: Case Study of the eProcurement System in the Indonesian Public Sector

2013

Lack of sustainability is one of the problems in information system (IS) implementation in developing countries, such as Indonesia. More specifically, this is the case in eGovernment implementation. Using an interpretive research stance in a case study of the eProcurement system in the public sector, the study reveals that the concept of information infrastructure (II) can be used to understand the sustainability issue. Findings suggest that applying the concept of II in IS development and implementation can improve the sustainability of an IS in the public sector, especially one that is used across government agencies and levels. The paper proposes a triple-helix model of a government II c…
