A magnetically retrievable nanocatalyst was evaluated for amicrowave assisted Suzuki–Miyaura reaction in aqueous media.Excellent yields and conversions were obtained with low Pd loadings(down to 0.01 mol% Pd). Let Me Hack It: Teachers’ Perceptions About ‘Making’ in Education

Making in education is an emergent practice focusing on learners as creators of things in a collaborative fashion while promoting knowledge construction through technology, design, and creative self-expression. Teachers’ (n=33) opinions about making were studied using an online questionnaire after they had attended an online course for professional development about making in education. The results suggest that there exists a group of educators who consider making as a promising approach in education and want to promote its use in schools. peerReviewed

Assessing the Commodity Market Price and Terms of Trade Exposures of Macroeconomy in Emerging and Developing Countries

This paper provides novel evidence on commodity market exposure, i.e., the impacts of commodity price and terms of trade fluctuations on macro performance amongst 46 emerging and developing countries (EMDCs) in Africa, Asia and the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. We estimate the exposure of six macroeconomic variables to the commodity prices and terms of trade. Our results indicate that in overall terms, there is a strong and statistically significant long-run relationship between the vector of analyzed world trade prices and macro variables in all EMDCs. Automatic musical genre classification is an important information retrieval task since it can be applied for practical purposes such as the organization of data collections in the digital music industry. L’étude des collections protohistoriques du Musée archéologique de Dijon nous a mené à enquêter sur un fragment de moyeu de char hallstattien conservé dans la collection Brulard et indiqué comme provenant du tumulus du Trembloi à Magny-Lambert (Côte-d’Or). Si, depuis les travaux de R. Joffroy, le doute concernant la provenance de cet objet semblait permis, la mise à notre disposition de l’inventaire du musée ainsi que des manuscrits inédits du docteur Brulard et les détails qu’ils révèlent permettent de contredire cette thèse.
