The essay's main purpose is to eradicate the topic that the Blaquerna is in fact Llull’s autobiography and that the LAA reflects in a direct way R. Llull's mystical experience. While the LAA fits perfectly the general structure of the Blaquerna and could very well nave originally been conceived as a part of this novel, the evidence so far available seems to indicate that the LAA never existed as an independent text.

El «llibre cortés de lectura» en català: a propòsit del manuscrit F-129 del Col·legi de la Sapiència de Palma

The manuscript F-129 of the Col·legi de la Sapiència de Palma contains three works of Ramon Llull. It is made up of two separate manuscripts belonging to the first generation of Lullian codices (that is, not later than the first quarter of the fourteenth century). This collection is preceded by a remarkable full-page illustration, an analysis of which shows that it was probably based on a similar miniature from a French codex emanating from Llull’s immediate circle. The codicological model applicable to this manuscrit is that of «libro cortese di lettura».
Anàlisi contrastiva dels marcadors de reformulació i exemplificació

The aim of this paper is to present a contrastive analysis of reformulation and exemplification markers in Catalan and Spanish, on the one hand, and in English, on the other. The study is based on a corpus of expository prose (mainly academic writing). The analysis shows coincidences regarding the sources of the connectives, but also differences relating to the variety of forms and the preference of fixed or variable connectives. The differences identified in the grammar of Catalan and Spanish vs. that of English will be associated with two distinct styles for building expository texts.

In April 1921 Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of the Italian Communist Party, tried to meet Gabriele D’Annunzio, leader of the irredentist Fiume Endeavour. Though the attempt could apparently seem in contradiction with the internationalist tradition of Marxist ideology, it was perfectly coherent with the dialectical conception of the national problem, formalized by Gramsci in his early works and his Quaderni del carcere.

En aquest article es presenten els resultats obtinguts a partir de dos exercicis enfocats a avaluar la implantació de la normativa dels relatius en discursos planificats. L’article analitza els resultats parcials d’una recerca que s’emmarca en l’ús que fa dels relatius la mostra estudiada (26 individus catalanoparlants de 1r curs de Traducció i Interpretació) i la percepció que se’n té. We propose an account based on the following points: (i) definition of question tags, (ii) contrastive analysis of the structures in several languages (Catalan, Spanish, French, Italian, English and German), (iii) pragmatic approach to question tags, (iv) syntactic approach, and (v) study of question tags as grammatical constructions.
