Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 43 lapaspusēm, satur 7 tabulas, 4 attēlus, 1 pielikumu un 38 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis ir izvērtēt dalībnieku pierašanu pie progresīvajām briļļu lēcām. Pētījumā piedalījās 6 dalībnieki. Visiem dalībniekiem tika novērtēts temperaments, ievākta anamnēze, noteikta subjektīvā un objektīvā korekcija, aditīvs, konverģence, stereoredze, forijas, fūzijas rezerves tuvumā un tālumā, verģences vieglums. Dalībniekiem tika izrakstītas viena dizaina lēcas, lai izslēgtu dažādo lēcu dizainu ietekmi uz pierašanu. 1 mēnesi pēc briļļu lietošanas 4 dalībnieki pie tām pierada, 2 dalībnieki – nepierada. In the present work a piezoelectric based structural health monitoring (SHM) system is analyzed with the aim of assessing the ability of the piezoelectric patch to detect both edge and embedded delaminations proper of flange-skin composite laminated structures. he boundary element model is developed for piezoelectric solids and is implemented by taking advantage of the multidomain technique to model laminated and cracked configurations. The paper deals with the institutional problems faced by animal carcass classifying operators while implementing the SEUROP classification system in Romania. The research was performed in March 2015 by means of in-depth interviews with different economical operators in the pig-carcass classification sector. Fascioliasis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. Emergence of human fascioliasis prompted a worldwide control initiative including a pilot study in several countries. Given the necessity to characterize the fasciolid populations involved, the overall aim of the present research is, first, the phenotypic characterization of faciolid adults and eggs implicated in human endemic areas, where this initiative has been implemented, through a computer image analysis system (CIAS) applied on the basis of standardized measurements. The scratch test method is widely used for adhesion evaluation of thin films and coatings. Usual critical load criteria designed for scratch testing of coatings were not applicable to thin atomic layer deposition (ALD) films on silicon wafers. Thus, the bases for critical load evaluation were established and the critical loads suitable for ALD coating adhesion evaluation on silicon wafers were determined in this paper as LCSi1, LCSi2, LCALD1, and LCALD2, representing the failure points of the silicon substrate and the coating delamination points of the ALD coating. Structural and electronic elucidation of a N-heterocyclic silylene vanadocene adduct

The solid and solution state structure of the vanadium(II) N‐ heterocyclic silylene (NHSi) complex, [(SiIPr)V(Cp)2] (1) is reported ( SiIPr: 1,3‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)‐1,3‐diaza‐2‐silacyclopent‐4‐ en‐2‐ylidene). The electronic structure of 1 is probed using combination of magnetic measurements, EPR spectroscopy and computational studies. The V–Si bond strength and complex forming mechanism between vanadocene and NHSi ligand is elucidated using computational methods. peerReviewed

Tutkin työssäni eläinmainintoja Martialiksen ylistys- ja ivaepigrammeissa. Martialis ylistää esimerkiksi keisaria tai maaseutua ja ivaa muun muassa himokkaita vanhoja naisia ja huonoja runoilijoita. Valitsin nämä epigrammit, koska ne ovat tutkimusaineistosta helpoimmin havaittavissa. Kiintoisa tutkimuskysymys on, mitä eläimiä Martialis käyttää ylistäesssään ja mitä ivatessaan. Jos eläin esiintyy molemmissa, miten käytöt eroavat? Tietääkseni Martialiksen epigrammeja ei ole aiemmin tutkittu tästä näkökulmasta. Dotajā maģistra darbā ir paredzēts fiksēt, kādas ir programmatūras kvalitātes atšķirības starp izstrādātāju grupām un kas palīdz izstrādātāju grupām uzturēt programmatūras kvalitāti.
