Lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic: results of EAHP survey on the future crisis preparedness of hospital pharmacies

Aim The present survey aimed to collect information on the lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic by hospital pharmacists. It focused on the shortages of health goods and the experiences of hospitals during the first phase of the crisis. Methods A 17-question survey was conducted by EAHP, looking at the experiences of hospital pharmacists during the COVD-19 pandemic. The survey ran from 16 September to 23 December 2020. Statistical analysis included backward stepwise logistic regression (BSLR), Pearson’s χ2 test, t-test and one-way ANOVA, as appropriate; p≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. The synthesis of two series of gold(I) complexes containing the general formulae PR 3 ‐Au‐C≡C‐phenanthrene (PR 3 = PPh 3 ( 1a / 2a ), PMe 3 ( 1b / 2b ), PNaph 3 ( 1c / 2c )) or (diphos)(Au‐C≡C‐phenanthrene) 2 (diphos = 1,1‐ bis (diphenylphosphino)methane, dppm ( 1d / 2d ); 1,4‐ bis (diphenylphosphino)butane, dppb ( 1e / 2e )) have been synthesized. The two series differ on the position of the alkynyl substituent on the phenanthrene chromophore, being at the 9‐position (9‐ethynylphenanthrene) for the L1 ‐series and at the 2‐position (2‐ethynylphenanthrene) for the L2 ‐series. SrP3N5O: a highly condensed layer phosphate structure solved from a nanocrystal by automated electron diffraction tomography.

The oxonitridophosphate SrP(3)N(5)O has been synthesized by heating a multicomponent reactant mixture that consisted of phosphoryl triamide OP(NH(2))(3), thiophosphoryl triamide SP(NH(2))(3), SrS, and NH(4)Cl enclosed in evacuated and sealed silica-glass ampoules up to 750 °C. The compound was obtained as nanocrystalline powder with needle-shaped crystallites. The crystal structure was solved ab initio on the basis of electron diffraction data by means of automated electron diffraction tomography (ADT) and verified by Rietveld refinement with X-ray powder diffraction data. Photocatalytic H2 evolution from aqueous solutions of oxygenated organic compounds in the presence of C3N4/reduced graphene oxide based photocatalysts

Composites of C3N4/reduced graphene oxide have been used as a cheap and promising photocatalysts for triethanolamine and ethanol photo-reforming with H2 generation in aqueous solution. The rate of H2 production over the best performing photocatalysts reached 1,415 μmol·h-1·g-1 which increases up to 57,306 in the presence of 1% of Pt. The apparent quantum efficiency of the optimal material was 7 % by using both LED and natural sunlight irradiation

Optogenetics, a field concentrating on controlling cellular functions by means of light-activated proteins, has shown tremendous potential in neuroscience. It possesses superior spatiotemporal resolution compared to the surgical, electrical, and pharmacological methods traditionally used in studying brain function. Background and Study Aims: Previous research on musical performance achievement has focused on the overall musical performance and on musical subskills. Two studies were conducted to identify predictors of motor skill acquisition in children pianists and of long-term development of motor skills in expert pianists in a relevant musical context.
