Metaforu pieredzes lauku diahroniskā analīze publikācijās par Latviju

Valsts tēlveidei lietoto metaforu pētījumi ir piesaistījuši daudzu zinātnieku uzmanību, tomēr metaforu lietojums tieši Latvijai veltītajos rakstos nav daudz pētīts, tāpēc šim pētījumam tika izvirzīts mērķis noskaidrot, kā 15 gadu laikā ir mainījies Latvijas attēlojums plašsaziņas līdzekļos, un atklāt galvenās vērtības, kuras aktivizē metaforas. Pētījums tika veikts izmantojot kritisko metaforu analīzi un Metaforu identifikācijas procedūru. Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja, ka metaforām bieži bija negatīvas konotācijas, kas apstiprina Galtunga un Rūža (1965) apgalvojumu, ka mazāku nāciju attēlojums plašsaziņas līdzekļos bieži ir vērsts uz negativitāti. Chemically defended animals often display conspicuous color patterns that predators learn to associate with their unprofitability and subsequently avoid. Such animals (i.e., aposematic), deter predators by stimulating their visual and chemical sensory channels. Hence, aposematism is considered to be “multimodal.” The evolution of warning signals (and to a lesser degree their accompanying chemical defenses) is fundamentally linked to natural selection by predators. W artykule podjęto tematykę współpracy międzysektorowej realizującej projekty zrównoważonego rozwoju. Jego celem jest wskazanie wartości społecznej kreowanej przez partnerów wspólnego przedsięwzięcia. Postawiono pytanie o to, jaka wartość społeczna jest tworzona we współpracy podmiotów różnych sektorów gospodarki w ramach projektów zrównoważonych oraz jaką rolę w procesie tworzenia wartości społecznej odgrywa sama współpraca międzysektorowa. W części badawczej pracy zaprezentowano studia przypadków wybranych projektów. NH4HCO3–water solutions regeneration in RED closed loop applications

Reverse Electrodialysis (RED) in closed loop arrangement (Reverse Electrodialysis Heat Engine - REDHE) is a promising technology to convert low-grade waste heat into electricity. RED is a membrane process exploiting the salinity gradient between a concentrated and a diluted solution to generate electrical current. Due to the transfer phenomena occurring in the RED unit, the two exiting solutions are partially mixed. Thermal regeneration processes can be used to restore the initial conditions of the two solutions, thus closing the loop.
