The article discusses how a variety of qualitative methods could be used for investigating the engagement of the voices on the ground, where the change is expected to happen. It also reviews how qualitative research approaches involve students and teachers, the so-called “target groups” of educational development, as subjects, rather than objects. Background: The article concerns the tensions that can arise during demanding external, and consequential internal changes and considers how educational leadership is able to respond to them. Leadership is here understood as a collaborative endeavour, producing shared sense-making in situations of tension. Foucault and the birth of psychopolitics : Towards a genealogy of crisis governance

The article contributes to the genealogy of current tendencies in crisis governance by reconstructing Michel Foucault’s analysis of the application of the notion of crisis in 19th-century psychiatry. This analysis complements and corrects Reinhart Koselleck’s history that viewed crisis as originally a medical, judicial or theological concept that was transferred to the political domain in the 18th century. In contrast, Foucault highlights how the psychiatric application of the concept of crisis was itself political, conditioned by the disciplinary power of the psychiatrist. Elisabeth is widely known as a critic of René Descartes' account of mind--body interaction and scholarly interpretations of her view on the will most often pose the question about the freedom of the will in relation to bodily impulses such as the passions. The main purpose of this study is to describe and to understand the intercultural couples’ relationships in Finland from the relational-dialectics perspective by Baxter and Montgomery (1996). Following the interpretive research tradition, in this qualitative study, data were collected from 18 heterosexual intercultural couples (36 persons), utilizing the multi-method approach. Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma keskittyy yleisön kokemuksiin uudesta julkisesta taiteesta ANTI – Contemporary Art Festivalin yhteydessä. Tutkielman laadullinen aineisto koostuu ryhmähaastattelusta, jonka analyysimenetelmänä käytin sisällönanalyysiä. Ryhmähaastattelu keskittyi haastateltavien kokemukseen Avustettuja kadunylityksiä Kuopiossa -teoksesta (2011) sekä siihen osallistumisesta. Toinen tutkimuskysymys koski uuden julkisen taiteen vaikutusta kaupunkitilassa tapahtuvaan vuorovaikutukseen. Artykuł jest próbą naświetlenia zagadnienia rozwoju kultury pamięci mniejszości niemieckiej na Górnym Śląsku po 1989 r., zamieszkującej obszar polsko-czeskoniemieckiego pogranicza kulturowego. Tekst wskazuje, że rozwój kultury pamięci polskich Niemców, realizował się równolegle do procesu tworzenia się struktur mniejszości.
