The aim of the paper is a comparison between Pirandello’s metalinguistic reflections on the varieties of his repertoire (Italian, regional Italian, Dialect) and the use of these varieties in his autobiographic writings, focusing in particular on Lettere della formazione (1891-1898) e Saggi e Interventi, and his scientific essays on the linguistic matter (Prosa Moderna, Per la solita questione della linugua, etc.). Si tende a mostrare quali tipologie di parlanti innovano o conservano la terminologia dialettale tradizionale in relazione alle loro caratteristiche socio-culturali (età, grado di istruzione, competenza nei due codici in contatto)

This research has aimed at analytically listing bilingual French-Italian, Italian-French dictionaries available in public and private libraries. The team of about thirty researchers has visited almost 400 libraries in France and Italy and also in Netherlands, Spain and Great-Britain. 800 different editions have been found from the first in 1583 to 2000 (conventional date). An analytical description has been provided for each of them. The pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) for teaching mitosis at university isan unexplored field. We report the characterization of university teachers’ PCK on mitosisemploying the Content Representation questionnaire (CoRe) and Professional and Pedagogicalexperience Repertoire (PaP-eR). The differences found in the teachers’ CDC are consistent withthe characteristics of this construct: it is specific to a topic, a teacher and a context.
