Monitoring dam displacements using different techniques allows an evaluation of their structural behaviour over time. In this study, dam displacements (for the Castello dam, Agrigento, Italy) have been investigated using different Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) techniques exploiting a freely available dataset from the EU Copernicus Sentinel-1 SAR built by the European Space Agency (ESA). On 17 August 2017, the LIGO and Virgo observatories made the first direct detection of gravitational waves from the coalescence of a neutron star binary system. The detection of this gravitational-wave signal, GW170817, offers a novel opportunity to directly probe the properties of matter at the extreme conditions found in the interior of these stars. The initial, minimal-assumption analysis of the LIGO and Virgo data placed constraints on the tidal effects of the coalescing bodies, which were then translated to constraints on neutron star radii. I 2020 trådte det nye læreplanverket, Kunnskapsløftet 2020, i kraft i norsk skole. I artikkelen har vi valgt samfunnsfaget i ungdomsskolen som eksempelstudium. Vi presenterer en detaljert, empirinær analyse av forholdet mellom kompetansemål, kjerneelementer og tverrfaglige tema i læreplanstrukturen for skolefag, samt forholdet mellom disse og overordnet del. Eksempelet er avgrenset til samfunnsfaget på ungdomsskolen, og basert på det forskriftsfestede planverket og den digitale støttemodulen.
