Manufacturers and retailers: A relational analysis

2012

Nowadays, relational models between manufacturers and retailers do not fully reflect the domain of the main relational constructs. This research proposes a model that reflects both affective and attitudinal retailer behaviors from the study of the nomological network between relational value with satisfaction, trust and commitment. The empirical research is based on the study of a Spanish furniture manufacturer with its retailer customers during one furniture fair. Findings suggest that relational value is an antecedent of affective and attitudinal behaviors. Satisfaction with current transactions also appears to be the main determinant of trust and commitment.

Existence and Singularities for the Prandtl Boundary Layer Equations

2000

Prandtl's boundary layer equations, first formulated in 1904, resolve the differences between the viscous and inviscid description of fluid flows. This paper presents a review of mathematical results, both analytic and computational, on the unsteady boundary layer equations. This includes a review of the derivation and basic properties of the equations, singularity formation, well-posedness results, and infinite Reynolds number limits.

Machine learning for rapid mapping of archaeological structures made of dry stones – Example of burial monuments from the Khirgisuur culture, Mongoli…

2020

11 pages; International audience; The present study proposes a workflow to extract from orthomosaics the enormous amount of dry stones used by past societies to construct funeral complexes in the Mongolian steppes. Several different machine learning algorithms for binary pixel classification (i.e. stone vs non-stone) were evaluated. Input features were extracted from high-resolution orthomosaics and digital elevation models (both derived from aerial imaging). Comparative analysis used two colour spaces (RGB and HSV), texture features (contrast, homogeneity and entropy raster maps), and the topographic position index, combined with nine supervised learning algorithms (nearest centroid, naive…

A rapid method of screening ceramic artefacts to reject unlikely hypotheses of provenance

2019

This study was aimed at testing a cost‐effective method based on comparing the rare earth element patterns in artefacts of known origin with patterns of potential raw materials, thus allowing the restriction/exclusion of working hypotheses on provenance, and consequently a better focus of research funding. The method targets ceramics/materials of terrigenous origin. Lanthanoids and yttrium patterns were determined in 26 wine amphorae that had a well‐established geographical origin from the Nuovo Mercato Testaccio in Rome, and these patterns were compared to plausible terrigenous materials from various ancient Roman regions. The point was not to pinpoint the origins of the material, but rath…

Iconografía del Rey David

2018
