Il saggio riflette sulla specificità della ricerca educativa e la accomnuna alla ricerca in campo sociale; ritrova infatti le connessioni nel valore politico, nelle ricadute sulla prassi, e nella prospettiva etica. In questo senso viene evidenziata la possibilità di connettere teoria, metodologia ed esperienza (e, ad un livello meta, di riflettere su tale connessione) e il fatto che questo processo si configura nei termini di una “apprendimento continuo”, sui piani individuale, di gruppo, istituzionale. Una scuola buona ha il compito di formare persone adeguatamente colte. Qui tale compito viene inteso come educazione del pensare, ossia formazione dell'intelligenza e della ragione. La prima tesi argomentata nel saggio è che l'aspetto determinante di quest'opera formativa è costituita dalla coltivazione dell'intelligenza, intesa come capacità del soggetto di vedere. L'impegno maggiore del saggio è però nell'interpretare la fenomenologia come una pratica di ricerca del senso costituita al fondo da un affinamento dell'intelligenza.

Darba nosaukums: Laika ietekme ārkārtas gastroendoskopijas veikšanā uz ārstēšanas iznākumu nevarikozas augšējās GI asiņošanas gadījumā. Ievads: Akūta nevarikoza augšējā gastrointestinālā trakta asiņošana ir nopietna medicīniska patoloģija, kas var veicināt tālāku veselības pasliktināšanos un pat nāvi. Šī iemesla dēļ ir svarīgi analizēt agrīnas un vēlīnas ārkārtas endoskopijas ietekmi uz ārstēšanas iznākumu nevarikozas augšējās GI asiņošanas gadījumos. Per promuovere un atteggiamento scientifico negli insegnanti, i ricercatori che usano un metodo empirico in campo educativo, devono autocontrollarsi affinché, consapevolmente o no, alcuni atteggiamenti personali non inficino la validità dei risultati ottenuti. To promote a scientific attitude in teachers, researchers who use an empirical method in the educational field, they have to self-control so that, knowingly or not, some personal attitudes do not affect validity of the results achieved.
Genetically engineered V79 Chinese hamster cells metabolically activate the cytostatic drugs cyclophosphamide and ifosfamide.

V79 cells, genetically engineered to express active cytochromes P450IIB1 and P450IA1, were used to study the cytotoxicity and mutagenicity of cyclophosphamide and ifosfamide. Cyclophosphamide, tested up to a concentration of 2 mM, was not cytotoxic in V79 nor in the P450IA1-expressing V79-derived cell line XEM2. Pronounced cytotoxicity was, however, observed in the P450IIB1-expressing V79-derived cell line SD1. Induction of gene mutations (acquisition of 6-thioguanine resistance) was observed in SD1 cells as well, but the effects were weak. Ifosfamide was inactive in V79 cells, but was cytotoxic in SD1 cells. Ifosfamide mustard, an active metabolite of ifosfamide, was equally cytotoxic and …

The opioidergic innervation of the mammalian spleen and possible species differences were investigated. Light-microscopic immunohistochemistry revealed that splenic nerves of bovine and porcine spleen, but not of rat, mouse, hamster and guinea-pig spleen contained proenkephalin-derived opioidergic innervation. Immunoreactivity to both prodynorphin and pro-opiomelanocortin was absent from splenic nerves. In bovine and porcine spleen, fibers immunoreactive for met-enkephalin, met-enkephalin-Arg-Phe, met-enkephalin-Arg-Gly-Leu, leu-enkephalin and peptide F formed perivascular plexus, traveled in trabecular connective tissue, and extended into the capsule. Circadian rhythm and effects of light on cAMP content of the dwarf hamster suprachiasmatic nucleus

The present study was conducted in the dwarf hamster (Phodopus sungorus) to investigate whether a circadian rhythm is present in the content of the second messenger cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cAMP) in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), the endogenous clock in mammals. In animals held under light/dark conditions (LD), we observed high levels at the end of the light phase and low levels during the night in frozen SCN punches. In animals held in continuous dark, a similar rhythm was seen although a second peak was present in the subjective day. Cell-based bioassays for functional thyroid stimulating autoantibodies (TSAb) are sensitive diagnostic tools. However, there is no bioassay available that is standardized with international reference material.
