In [5] an analogue of the classical Dini-Riemann theorem related to non-absolutely convergent series of real number is obtained for the Lebesgue improper integral. Here we are extending it to the case of the Henstock integral.

For any open set $\Omega\subset\mathbb R^n$ and $n\ge 2$, we establish everywhere differentiability of viscosity solutions to the Aronsson equation $$ =0 \quad \rm in\ \ \Omega, $$ where $H$ is given by $$H(x,\,p)==\sum_{i,\,j=1}^na^{ij}(x)p_i p_j,\ x\in\Omega, \ p\in\mathbb R^n, $$ and $A=(a^{ij}(x))\in C^{1,1}(\bar\Omega,\mathbb R^{n\times n})$ is uniformly elliptic. This extends an earlier theorem by Evans and Smart \cite{es11a} on infinity harmonic functions.

We give a brief historical account of the development of the mathematical theory of propagation of discontinuities in gases, fluids or elastic materials. The theory was initiated by Riemann who investigated the propagation of shocks in one-dimensional isentropic gas flow. Riemann’s results were used by Christoffel to treat, more generally, the propagation of (first order) discontinuity surfaces in three-dimensional flows of perfect fluids. Subsequently Christoffel applied his general theory to first order waves in certain elastic materials. Independently of Riemann and Christoffel significant contributions were made by Hugoniot. Orientation theory in arithmetic geometry

This work is devoted to study orientation theory in arithmetic geometric within the motivic homotopy theory of Morel and Voevodsky. The main tool is a formulation of the absolute purity property for an \emph{arithmetic cohomology theory}, either represented by a cartesian section of the stable homotopy category or satisfying suitable axioms. We give many examples, formulate conjectures and prove a useful property of analytical invariance. Within this axiomatic, we thoroughly develop the theory of characteristic and fundamental classes, Gysin and residue morphisms. Sard property for the endpoint map on some Carnot groups

In Carnot-Caratheodory or sub-Riemannian geometry, one of the major open problems is whether the conclusions of Sard's theorem holds for the endpoint map, a canonical map from an infinite-dimensional path space to the underlying finite-dimensional manifold. The set of critical values for the endpoint map is also known as abnormal set, being the set of endpoints of abnormal extremals leaving the base point. We prove that a strong version of Sard's property holds for all step-2 Carnot groups and several other classes of Lie groups endowed with left-invariant distributions. In this paper we study the geometry of (M, G) by using the ideas developed in [Michor, 1980]. With that differentiable structure on M it is possible to use variational principles and so we start in section 2 by computing geodesics as the curves in M minimizing the energy functional. From the geodesic equation, the covariant derivative of the Levi-Civita connection can be obtained, and that provides a direct method for computing the curvature of the manifold. Counting common perpendicular arcs in negative curvature

Let $D^-$ and $D^+$ be properly immersed closed locally convex subsets of a Riemannian manifold with pinched negative sectional curvature. Using mixing properties of the geodesic flow, we give an asymptotic formula as $t\to+\infty$ for the number of common perpendiculars of length at most $t$ from $D^-$ to $D^+$, counted with multiplicities, and we prove the equidistribution in the outer and inner unit normal bundles of $D^-$ and $D^+$ of the tangent vectors at the endpoints of the common perpendiculars. The Calderon problem in transversally anisotropic geometries

We consider the anisotropic Calderon problem of recovering a conductivity matrix or a Riemannian metric from electrical boundary measurements in three and higher dimensions. In the earlier work \cite{DKSaU}, it was shown that a metric in a fixed conformal class is uniquely determined by boundary measurements under two conditions: (1) the metric is conformally transversally anisotropic (CTA), and (2) the transversal manifold is simple. In this paper we will consider geometries satisfying (1) but not (2).
