Pētījuma mērķis ir pētīt izglītības iestādes vadības darbību pedagogu psihosociālo risku novēršanā. Pētījuma gaitā ir veikta teorijas analīze, empīriskajā pētījuma daļā – “A” novada 3 vidusskolu pedagogu anketēšana un intervijas ar šo vidusskolu direktoriem. Pētījuma rezultāti norāda, kādi ir pedagogu apzinātie psihosociālie riski un to ietekme pedagogu darbībā, tos sastatot ar skolu direktoru vērtējumiem. Objective This study aimed to explore risk estimations (perceived risk, dispositional optimism) related to COVID-19 perception and distress in oncologic outpatients undergoing active hospital treatments compared to the general population. Design and Main Outcome Measures Data were collected during the Italian lockdown on 150 oncologic outpatients and a sample of 150 healthy subjects. Despite the importance of patients’ psychological well-being in their own recovery from illness, few studies examine these issues while the patient is still in ICU. This study analyzes the psychological distress of 71 ICU patients and the potential risk/protective factors for such distress. Patients showed moderate anxiety and depression although in a significant percentage clinical symptomatology was observed. More than halve of the patients revealed an intermediate general stress level and the most important stressor was having pain. Frailty is a pre-clinical condition that worsens physical health and quality of life. One of the most frequent symptoms of frailty is an increased risk of falling. In order to reduce this risk, we propose an innovative virtual reality motor rehabilitation program based on an immersive tool. All exercises will take place in the CAVE, a four-screen room with a stationary bike. This paper is focused on the outcomes of psychotic functioning and, in particular, on individual and contextual elements that could influence the level of adjustment of a patient with schizophrenia. The case of Beatrice, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 23, is analyzed using the personal diary that she herself compiled over about fifty years, in which she documented the fundamental events of her life. OBJECTIVES Neuroticism predicts falls in older people. In addition, concern about falling and depressive symptoms are associated with fall risk. This study examined whether concern about falling and depressive symptoms mediate the association between neuroticism and falls. METHOD Cross-sectional data on 314 community-dwelling people aged 70–85 years were utilized. Neuroticism was assessed with a short modified form of the Eysenck Personality Inventory. Indoor and outdoor falls during the past year were self-reported.
