Cirkulējošās plazmas mikro RNS (miRNS) ir plaši pētīts biomarķieris ļaundabīgo audzēju diagnostikā, bet saistībā ar hipofīzes neiroendokrīnajiem audzējiem (PitNET) tās ir maz izpētītas. Darbā, izmantojot nākamās paaudzes sekvencēšanu, tika analizētas miRNS izmaiņas pacientu plazmas paraugos pirms un 24 stundas pēc ekstirpācijas, kā arī novērtēts miRNS saturs plazmā no pacienta, kuram tika veikta bilaterālā inferioro petrozālo sinusu katetrizācija (BIPSS).
