This study explores how early childhood education and basic education teachers develop and develop innovations within the decentralised educational system of Finland. The comprehensive dataset of 20 field interviews provides a range of insights into teachers’ goals, principles, inspirations and experiences when working with a variety of language-based innovations across Finland. Integrating insights from new institutional economics and studies on the collapse of past empires, we sketch a process model that links economic degrowth to the collapse of institutional orders. Our thought experiment starts from emphasizing the importance of institutions and enforcement mechanisms in maintaining a sufficient level of economic activity to sustain public costs. In empirical macroeconomics, inter-dependencies between countries are often analysed using cross-country correlations or graphical investigation of time series. This study shows that applying an alternative methodological approach - identification of common unobservable factors and using them as explanatory variables for country-specific time series - indicates a stronger cross-country integration of functional income distributions than the standard methods. The results vary only little between different samples, where both the country and year coverage change. Wage-setting coordination in a small open economy

This paper studies wage-setting coordination in a two-sector, open economy dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model. Two large sectoral unions anticipate the effects of their wage demands on aggregate variables. In an open economy, there are externalities that the unions can take into account to increase aggregate welfare, but the strategic interaction between the sectoral unions tends to erode this gain. When wage coordination takes place through a wage norm set by either of the sectors, this minimizes the strategic interaction. This thesis examined trust inside a political organization as well the relation between trust and creativity. The thesis is a case study of the Finnish Centre Party Parliamentary Group. The research sought answers for the questions how professional politicians (members of the parliament) experience trust inside the party they are members of, and whether trust in a political organization brings added value for the organization. Kysymykseen Kuolinsiivouksen vanhuuskuvasta liittyy oletus teoksen asettumisesta vastarintaan medialle tyypillisiä vanhuuden kurjuutta ja koomisuutta korostavia puhe- ja kuvaamistapoja vastaan.
