Traces of the past: an interview study with Finnish war children who did not return to Finland after the Second World War

ABSTRACTThis paper is an in-depth qualitative study based on interviews with 10 Finnish children who were evacuated to Sweden during Second World War and who did not return to Finland after the war. The interviewees were asked to tell about their lives. Nine of them were between 2 and 5 years and one was 7 years old at the time of evacuation. The aim was to study how their childhood experiences were reflected in adult memories, how they remembered or did not remember. Ieviešot Vēlētāju reģistru, kā būtisku vēlēšanu organizēšanas sastāvdaļu, ļaujot vēlētājam brīvi izvēlēties vēlēšanu iecirkni vēlēšanu dienā un nodrošinot iespēju balsot ar jebkuru derīgu personu apliecinošu dokumentu. Persistence or Change in Leisure-Time Physical Activity Habits and Waist Gain During Early Adulthood: A Twin-Study

Objective To determine the relationship between persistence or change in leisure‐time physical activity habits and waist gain among young adults. Methods Population‐based cohort study among 3383 Finnish twin individuals (1578 men) from five birth cohorts (1975‐1979), who answered questionnaires at mean ages of 24.4 y (SD 0.9) and 33.9 y (SD 1.2), with reported self‐measured waist circumference. Application of molecular imprinted polymers for selective solid phase extraction of bisphenol A

Selective molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with bisphenol A as template were synthesized using the non-covalent imprinting approach. MIPs were prepared using thermally initiated polymerization with 1,1’-azobis(cyclohexanecarbonitryle) (ACHN) as initiator and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as a cross-linking agent. The tested functional monomers included methacrylic acid, acrylamide, and 4-vinylpyridine. Wyzwalanie dziecięcej aktywności matematycznej w trakcie rozwiązywania zadań

Aktywność ucznia ma ogromne znaczenie w kształtowaniu i rozwijaniu abstrakcyjnych pojęć matematycznych. Jednak aktywność ta nie powinna ograniczać się jedynie do aktywności zewnętrznej, często jedynie pozornej, ale przede wszystkim powinna być to aktywność umysłowa ucznia. Zachowania i postawy specyficzne dla aktywności matematycznej można bowiem rozwijać u ucznia jedynie w toku jego aktywności poznawczej (intelektualnej). W opracowaniu podjęto próbę ukazania możliwości stymulowania i rozwijania oraz przejawy aktywności matematycznej uczniów w wieku wczesnoszkolnym w trakcie rozwiązywania zadań.

In this paper atomic decomposition theorems of martingales are considered. In particular, three atomic decomposition theorems for Lorentz martingale spacesHs p,q, Qp,q andDp,q, where 0 < p < 1, and 0 < q 1, are proved. As a consequence of these decompositions, the authors obtain a sufficient condition for a sublinear operator T, defined on the previous Lorentz martingale spaces Hs p,q, Qp,q and Dp,q and taking values in Lorentz spaces Lr, to be bounded. Also, a restricted weak-type interpolation theorem is established.

Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie istoty systemów wczesnego ostrzegania w zarządzaniu projektami w kontekście osiągania celów projektów. Potrzeba stosowania narzędzi wczesnego ostrzegania w zarządzaniu projektami ma uzasadnienie przede wszystkim w fakcie, że z reguły (pomijając zdarzenia nadzwyczajne) przedsiębiorstwa wykazują objawy sytuacji kryzysowych w realizacji podejmowanych projektów na długo przedtem zanim dojdzie do niepowodzenia projektu. Wczesne zidentyfikowanie sygnałów zbliżającego się kryzysu powinno być zatem jednym z podstawowych zadań w zarządzaniu projektami.
