Przedstawiono właściwości sorpcyjne węgla brunatnego pochodzącego z KWB Bełchatów w stosunku do wybranych barwników kwasowych (Acid Red 18, Acid Black 1, Acid Blue 9 oraz Acid Green 16) w roztworach wodnych. Wyznaczona w statycznych warunkach kontaktu faza stała-roztwór maksymalna pojemność sorpcyjna węgla w stosunku do wybranych barwników kwasowych mieściła się w zakresie 3,80-22,7 g/kg i rosła w szeregu AR-182). W wiązaniu barwników AR-18, AB-9 i ABk-1 odgrywała rolę adsorpcja jonowymienna (E>8 kJ/mol), przy czym jej udział w wiązaniu barwników był największy dla AR-18.

In the systematic search for phylogenetically conserved proteins in the simplest and most ancient extant metazoan phylum – Porifera, we have identified and analyzed a cDNA encoding the signal recognition particle 54 kD protein (SRP54) from the marine sponge Geodia cydonium (Demospongiae). The signal recognition particle (SRP) is a universally conserved ribonucleoprotein complex of a very ancient origin, comprising SRP RNA and several proteins (six in mammals). The nucleotide sequence of the sponge cDNA predicts a protein of 499 amino acid residues with a calculated Mr of 55175. Excess electronic recoil events in XENON1T

We report results from searches for new physics with low-energy electronic recoil data recorded with the XENON1T detector. With an exposure of 0.65 t-y and an unprecedentedly low background rate of $76\pm2$ events/(t y keV) between 1 and 30 keV, the data enables sensitive searches for solar axions, an enhanced neutrino magnetic moment, and bosonic dark matter. An excess over known backgrounds is observed at low energies and most prominent between 2 and 3 keV. The solar axion model has a 3.4$\sigma$ significance, and a 3D 90% confidence surface is reported for axion couplings to electrons, photons, and nucleons. Objetivo: Estudiar los efectos del clorhidrato de pilocarpina sobre la producción salival total en pacientes mexicanos con hiposalivación secundaria a radioterapia de la región de cabeza y cuello. Diseño del estudio: Previo consentimiento informado, 20 pacientes con hiposalivación secundaria a radioterapia de la región de cabeza y cuello (> 40 Gy) fueron evaluados mediante el Test de Saliva Global (TSG) antes, durante y al final de 10 semanas de tratamiento con clorhidrato de pilocarpina (5 mg 3 veces al día). Molemmat ovat liverpoolilaisia ja kuvaavat paikallisen työväenluokan elämää eri näkökulmista. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, millaista työväenluokan kieli on näytelmissä: Vastaako se todellista työväenluokan kieltä? Onko kielessä eroja näytelmien välillä?
