Johdanto. Lauri ”Tahko” Pihkala kehitti Suomen kansallispelin pesäpallon 1900-luvun alkupuoliskolla. Ensimmäinen naisten suomenmestaruus ratkottiin vuonna 1931. Naisten superpesis on noussut 2000-luvulla Suomen suosituimmaksi naisten palloilusarjaksi. Työn tarkoituksena on tarkastella naispesäpalloa lajina ja siihen vaadittavia ominaisuuksia. Työssä tarkastellaan myös pesäpallon harjoittelua ja lajin tilaa ja valmennusjärjestelmää. Laji. Pesäpallossa on vastakkain kaksi 12 hengen joukkuetta. Pelissä on kaksi neljän vuoroparin jaksoa ja tavoitteena on molemmissa jaksoissa lyödä enemmän juoksuja kuin vastustaja. Naisten kenttä on pienempi kuin miesten sekä pallo kevyempi. The present study examined the influence of the three basic psychological needs on autonomous motivation in educational settings in the light of additive, synergistic, and balance hypotheses. Participants were 679 high school students (Mage = 16.16, 49.3% girls). The findings supported the additive hypothesis: all three needs had unique effects on autonomous motivation. The synergistic hypothesis was only partially supported: one two-way interaction between autonomy and competence had effect on autonomous motivation. Associations between Teacher- and Student-directed Sexual and Physical Violence in Physical Education

This study examined relationships between teachers’ perceptions of verbal and non-verbal sexual harassment and physical violence against teachers and among students in physical education (PE). Participants were 175 (females 122, males 53) Finnish PE teachers between 27 and 62 years (M = 44.8 ± 9.2 years). The cross-sectional data were collected by an anonymous online survey in the fall semester 2018.
