How do people understand belonging and what kinds of stances toward belonging do they take? What kind of knowledge or ways of knowing (EISNER, 2008) does artistic practice yield about belonging? We ask these questions in this article, which is based on the research project Crossing Borders, in which we used participatory arts-based methods to study belonging. We invited participants to explore the notion of belonging in three parallel workshops drawing on different art forms, film, writing and visual arts. L'article fait le point sur les enceintes néolithiques identifiées dans les départements bourguignons, principalement Yonne et Côte d'Or. On dénombre ainsi environ 180 sites aménagés défensivement. En plaine, les enceintes privilégient l'installation le long des cours d'eau principaux (Yonne, Armançon, Serein, cours amont de la Saône), à la confluence avec un ru de moindre importance dont le bassin versant s'ouvre sur un "arrière pays" qui offre des opportunités d'échanges. Ainsi s'esquisse un modèle d'occupation du territoire qui débute avec le Cerny et qui évolue jusqu'au Néolithique récent.

Parenthood and gender inequality : Population-based evidence on the child penalty in Finland

This study presents evidence on the effect of parenthood on labor market outcomes in Finland. We use population-based data drawn from administrative registers and an event study design centered around the birth of the first child using the specification proposed in Kleven et al. (2019b). The study confirms that women encounter large short- and long-term child penalties in gross labor earnings and that penalties are associated with employment participation. Taxes and social security transfers considerably reduce the child penalty, which also varies by the number of children. peerReviewed
