Abstract Mount Taranaki is located 140 km west of the Taupo Volcanic Zone and represents the most westerly expression of subduction-related volcanism on the North Island of New Zealand. Taranaki is a predominantly high-K arc volcano but compositions range from basaltic andesite to andesite with minor dacite and basalt. The sub-volcanic basement under Taranaki is thought to comprise calc–alkaline plutonic and metamorphic rocks of the Median Batholith, overlain by a sequence of Cretaceous and Tertiary sediments. El presente estudio de caso analiza una intervención de tres semanas en un niño con Trastorno del Espectro Autista de 26 meses de edad, con ausencia de comunicación y de los requisitos para la introducción de un sistema de comunicación aumentativo (SAC), desde el ámbito de la Atención Temprana. A systematic study of the cross sections of neutral-current neutrino scattering off the stable even Mo isotopes (mass number A = 92, 94, 96, 98, 100), at low and intermediate neutrino energies (E(nu) <= 130 MeV), is presented and discussed. The required wave functions for the initial (ground state) and all accessible final nuclear states are constructed in the context of the quasi-particle random-phase approximation (QRPA) and tested against data on the low-lying energy spectra of the isotopes in question. Thus, administration of insulin could be a strategy for AD treatment. En este trabajo se presenta una metodología para la medida de deflexiones en el rango de las micras en membranas termoneumáticas de silicio. El método se basa en la interferometría por fibra óptica con el cual se estudió el comportamiento estático de una membrana de silicio de 10 mm de grosor, 5 mm de lado y 300 mm de bulk, la cual se pegó sobre un porta muestras de vidrio. Por medida estática se entiende la medida de la deflexión de las membranas considerando únicamente la respuesta de éstas a la fuente de radiación infrarroja que las estimula.

Carmina Burana (CB) 119 (Dulce solum natalis patrie) and 120 (Rumor letalis) are two medieval latin love poems of XIIth-XIIIth century which both show Catullan flavour, themes and suggestions. In this paper, after a short introduction about the very exiguous knowledge of Catull’s poems between VIth and XIIIth century, I try to give a strict analysis of CB 119 and 120, at the light of Catullan themes and suggestions which occur in these poems.

Delayed neurocognitive recovery and postoperative neurocognitive disorders are major complications of surgery, hospitalization, and anesthesia that are receiving increasing attention. Their incidence is reported to be 10–80% after cardiac surgery and 10–26% after non-cardiac surgery. Some of the risk factors include advanced age, level of education, history of diabetes mellitus, malnutrition, perioperative hyperglycemia, depth of anesthesia, blood pressure fluctuation during surgery, chronic respiratory diseases, etc. Scientific evidence suggests a causal association between anesthesia and delayed neurocognitive recovery or postoperative neurocognitive disorders, and various pathophysiologi…
