Poly[1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium [tri-μ-isothiocyanato-manganate(II)]]

The title compound, {(C9H11N2)[Mn(NCS)3]} n , has been obtained as a side product of the salt metathesis reaction of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide, (EMIm)Br, and K2[Mn(NCS)4]. The structure consists of discrete 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium cations and an anionic two-dimensional network of manganese(II)-based complex anions, interconnected by thiocyanate ions. Every Mn2+ ion is coordinated by three S atoms of three NCS− ions and three N atoms of further three NCS− ions in a meridional octahedral fashion.

In the title trispiro compound, both the methyl-substituted pyrrolidine and dioxalane rings adopt a twist conformation. The cyclopentanone ring of the acenapthylen-1-one system adopts flattened envelope conformation, and the cyclohexanone attached to the dioxalane ring adopts boat conformation. In the crystal, centrosymmetrically related molecules are linked into dimers forming rings of (10) graph-set motif, which are further connected into chains parallel to the b axis by C—H⋯O contacts forming rings of (8) graph-set motif.

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts 60 lappusēs angļu valodā. Tas satur 23 attēlus, 45 informācijas avotus un 9 pielikumus. Mērķis: šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādas acu izmaiņas ir notikušas vienu nedēļu pēc daļēji noturīgo skropstu pieaudzēšanas. Metodes: septiņiem pētījuma dalībniekiem tika četras reizes novērtētas konjunktīvas izmaiņas, asaru apjoma izmaiņas un alerģijas rādītājs, izmantojot arī subjektīvas anketas. Rezultāti: visiem šī pētījuma dalībniekiem bija daži ar daļēji noturīgu skropstu pieaudzēšanu saistīti acu simptomi, vairumam dalībnieku bija konjunktīvas apsārtums dažādos līmeņos, un daudziem bija asaru apjoma izmaiņas. The NUMEN project @ LNS : Status and perspectives

The aim of the NUMEN project is to access the Nuclear Matrix Elements (NME), involved in the half life of the neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ), by measuring the cross sections of Heavy Ions (HI) induced Double Charge Exchange (DCE) reactions with high accuracy. First evidence of the possibility to get quantitative information about NME from experiments is shown in the reaction 40Ca(18O,18Ne)40Ar at 270 MeV, performed with MAGNEX spectrometer using Superconducting Cyclotron (CS) beams at INFN - Laboratory Nazionali del Sud (LNS) in Catania. Preliminary tests on 116Sn and 116Cd target are already performed. High beam intensity is the new frontiers for these studies. peerReviewed

Technological artefacts express time periods in their visual design. Due time, visual culture changes and thus affects the design of pictorial representations in technological products, such as icons in user interfaces. Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) caused by Leishmania infantum is endemic in the Mediterranean basin with most of the infected human patients remaining asymptomatic. Recently, the saurian-associated Leishmania tarentolae was detected in human blood donors and in sheltered dogs. The circulation of L. infantum and L. tarentolae was investigated in humans, dogs and cats living in the Pelagie islands (Sicily, Italy) by multiple serological and molecular testing. Abstract Both density functional theory calculations and numerous experimental studies demonstrate a variety of unique features in metal supported oxide films and transition metal doped simple oxides, which are markedly different from their unmodified counterparts.
