Weights and Pure Nori Motives

In this chapter, we explain how Nori motives relate to other categories of motives. By the work of Harrer, the realisation functor from geometric motives to absolute Hodge motives factors via Nori motives. We then use this in order to establish the existence of a weight filtration on Nori motives with rational coefficients. The category of pure Nori motives turns out to be equivalent to Andre’s category of motives via motivated cycles.

Abstract The overall aim of this paper is to investigate impoliteness in a particular on-line polylogal setting – YouTube postings (c. 13,000 words) triggered by the ‘Obama Reggaeton’ video, which was released during the 2008 US democratic primaries. This is done through integration of quantitative/qualitative analytic tools and of (im)politeness1 and (im)politeness 2 approaches. Abstract The article focuses on the realisation of participatory evaluation (PE) in national educational evaluation activity. The realisation of PE is examined by adapting the Daigneault and Jacob model (2009 ; originally Cousins & Whitmore, 1998 ) to five national-level educational evaluations carried out in Finland.
