In this talk we discuss an algorithm for the numerical calculation of one-loop QCD amplitudes and present results at next-to-leading order for jet observables in electron-positron annihilation calculated with the above-mentioned method. The algorithm consists of subtraction terms, approximating the soft, collinear and ultraviolet divergences of QCD one-loop amplitudes, as well as a method to deform the integration contour for the loop integration into the complex plane to match Feynman's i delta rule. Background: Shortening duration of peginterferon-based HCV treatment reduces associated burden for patients. Primary objectives of this study were to assess the efficacy against the minimally acceptable response rate 12 weeks post-treatment (SVR12) and safety of simeprevir plus PR in treatment-naïve HCV GT1 patients treated for 12 weeks. Background/Aim: Re-irradiation of locally recurrent rectal cancer poses challenges due to the proximity of critical organs, such as the bowel. This study aimed at evaluating the safety and efficacy of re-irradiation with Carbon Ion Radiotherapy (CIRT) in rectal cancer patients with local recurrence. Patients and Methods: Between 2014 and 2018, 14 patients were treated at the National Center of Oncological Hadrontherapy (CNAO Foundation) with CIRT for locally recurrent rectal cancer. Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare cutaneous adenocarcinoma generally arising in the anogenital region. Surgery is still considered the treatment of choice for patients with EMPD, while Radiotherapy is a common alternative for inoperable cases and it's necessary in case of lack of surgical radicality. In this article, we described our experience and a review of the literature, with a particular focus on radiation-induced toxicity and on the feasibility of re-irradiation. Abstract Introduction The main cause of ischial pressure sores in paraplegic patients is prolonged sitting without pressure relief. These wounds are subject to recurrence and may need repeated reconstruction with local flaps. When all options are exhausted, the total thigh flap is the last resort. Disarticulation of the hip joint impairs stability even when sitting and causes subsequently very high discomfort. Approximation of Baskakov type Pólya–Durrmeyer operators

In the present paper we propose the Durrmeyer type modification of Baskakov operators based on inverse Polya-Eggenberger distribution. First we estimate a recurrence relation by using hypergeometric series. We give a global approximation theorem in terms of second order modulus of continuity, a direct approximation theorem by means of the Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness and a Voronovskaja type theorem. Some approximation results in weighted space are obtained. Also, we show the rate of convergence of these operators to certain functions by illustrative graphics using the Maple algorithms.
