En sciences de la terre et dans le cadre de la théorie de la tectonique des plaques, les processus orogéniques peuvent être difficiles à concevoir par des lycéens et des enseignants. Dans ce papier, on s’interroge, par le biais d’un questionnaire, sur les difficultés à la construction d’un registre explicatif de la formation des chaînes de montagnes par les apprenants. Nous confrontons aussi, dans un atelier-débat, les explications de l’orogenèse proposées par des enseignants à celles avancées par Avicenne. Les registres explicatifs des apprenants sont multiples et l’usage de l’histoire des sciences leur a permis de travailler dans un registre explicatif mobiliste.

We investigated the role of teenage everyday social ties in educational outcomes by examining the association between teenage time use and educational attainment in adulthood. The sample consisted of young people aged 10–18 from the 1979 Finnish Time Use Survey, and the same respondents’ educational attainment later in life recorded from population register data at the year of 40th birthday (n = 366 men and 393 women). Šī bakalaura darba pētījuma mērķis bija veikt lingvistisko analīzi korpusam, kas sastāvēja no 20 darba sludinājumiem, lai noteiktu lingvistikās iezīmes, kuras raksturo reģistru un palīdz sasniegt tā komunikatīvos mērķus. Bakalaura darba autore veica šo analīzi, izmantojot Baibera un Konrāda (2009) sarakstu ar lingvistikas iezīmēm. Background: In patients with some cardiovascular disease conditions, slightly elevated body mass index (BMI) is associated with a lower mortality risk (termed “obesity paradox”). It is uncertain, however, if this obesity paradox exists in patients who have had invasive cardiology procedures. Emotional expression in music: contribution, linearity, and additivity of primary musical cues

The aim of this study is to manipulate musical cues systematically to determine the aspects of music that contribute to emotional expression, and whether these cues operate in additive or interactive fashion, and whether the cue levels can be characterized as linear or non-linear. An optimized factorial design was used with six primary musical cues (mode, tempo, dynamics, articulation, timbre, and register) across four different music examples. Listeners rated 200 musical examples according to four perceived emotional characters (happy, sad, peaceful, and scary).
