Varieties Generated by Certain Models of Reversible Finite Automata

Reversible finite automata with halting states (RFA) were first considered by Ambainis and Freivalds to facilitate the research of Kondacs-Watrous quantum finite automata. In this paper we consider some of the algebraic properties of RFA, namely the varieties these automata generate. Consequently, we obtain a characterization of the boolean closure of the classes of languages recognized by these models.
Modified total variation regularization using fuzzy complement for image denoising

In this paper, we propose a denoising algorithm based on the Total Variation (TV) model. Specifically, we associate to the regularization term of the Rodin-Osher-Fatimi (ROF) functional a small weight whenever denoising is performed in edge and texture regions, which means less regularization and more details preservation. On the other hand, a large weight is associated if the region being filtered is smooth which means noise will be well suppressed. The weight computation is inspired from the fuzzy edge complement. Visual attention while solving the test of understanding graphs in kinematics: an eye-tracking analysis

This study used eye-tracking to capture students' visual attention while taking a test of understanding graphs in kinematics (TUG-K). A total of N = 115 upper-secondary-level students from Germany and Switzerland took the 26-item multiple-choice instrument after learning about kinematics graphs in the regular classroom. Besides choosing the correct alternative among research-based distractors, the students were required to judge their response confidence for each question. Niin kutsu- tuissa vahvoissa gravitaatiolinsseissä voi linssinä toimiva galaksi tuottaa kuvaan sen takana olevasta galaksista useita näyttäviä kaaria. This article aims, through a detailed presentation as to provide clarification for a better understanding of what internal audit definition, objectives, functions and stages of its development mean. It is also exposed a brief history about the emergence and development of internal audit and regulatory framework. I also plan to linking theory and practice by reference to documents used: both the evidence considered and especially those prepared by the auditors in connection with the performance audit and its use in the audit report.
ON SOME GENERALIZATION OF SMOOTHING PROBLEMS

The paper deals with the generalized smoothing problem in abstract Hilbert spaces. This generalized problem involves particular cases such as the interpolating problem, the smoothing problem with weights, the smoothing problem with obstacles, the problem on splines in convex sets and others. The theorem on the existence and characterization of a solution of the generalized problem is proved. It is shown how the theorem gives already known theorems in special cases as well as some new results.

Darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 39 lapām. Tas satur 11 attēlus, 1 aptaujas lapu, 11 tabulas and 24 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: darba galvenais mērķis ir salīdzināt parastās gāzu caurlaidīgās kontaktlēcas ar gāzu caurlaidīgajām intralimbālajām lēcām. Metodes: gāzu caurlaidīgās intralimbālās lēcas tika novērtētas, pētījuma dalībniekiem aizpildot anketu. Rezultāti: pētījuma dalībnieki deva priekšroku gāzu caurlaidīgajām intralimbālajām lēcām un novērtēja to sniegto komfortu, tomēr nebija būtiskas atšķirības starp iegūto redzes asumu abu lēcu gadījumā.
