Purpose This study investigates the difficulties involved in translating stakeholder expectations into action and maintaining legitimacy through the use of a performance measurement system (PMS) created in a Finnish regional development company (RDC). This longitudinal case study illustrates the fluctuating and socially constructed nature of legitimacy in the public sector. The aesthetic works of the Frankfurt School receive little attention by contemporary sociology. However, the article shows the relevance of aesthetic theory for a critical understanding of the social world. Therefore, we introduce the contradictions presented by critical theory of society especially after Auschwitz and we ask ourselves about how to conceive the inconceivable when the tools of Enlightenment are intrinsically guilty. Finally, we propose a mosaic of aesthetic sociology of disrespect as an option to overcome the paradoxes of Auschwitz. This procedure is related to the artistic production around the concentration camp of Buchenwald.

A partir de la metodología cualitativa de análisis de contenido, se reconoce cómo la naturaleza de estas religiones determina su interpretación del fenómeno de la inmigración. Strong links between music and motor functions suggest that music could represent an interesting aid for motor learning. The present study aims for the first time to test the potential of music to assist in the learning of sequences of gestures in normal and pathological aging. Participants with mild Alzheimer's disease (AD) and healthy older adults (Controls) learned sequences of meaningless gestures that were either accompanied by music or a metronome. La cuestión del límite y la diferencia entre el hombre y el animal se ha convertido en una cuestión filosófica de especial relevancia. Baste reparar en sus implicaciones políticas, sociales, económicas, etc. Por primera vez el hombre puede dirigir su proceso evolutivo. Desde ese contexto, se analizan y discuten los argumentos heideggerianos sobre el tema, tomando como hilo conductor su lectura derridiana. En ella se pone de manifiesto la contradicción entre la necesidad temática y operatoria de un límite (entre el animal y el Dasein en relación a la muerte) y la imposibilidad de fundamentarlo.
