In this specular and metaleptic kaleidoscope, the encounters between the author and the characters are particularly relevant. This paper analyses, based on Genette's theory of hypertextuality, the relationship between translation and reception and the rewrites that derive from it. Leaving aside translation as a serious transformation or transposition, it focuses, first, on exploring translation as the only possible mediation to ensure the reader's familiarity with the foreign hypotext transformed by the hypertext, from the translation of Mark Twain's El Diari d'Eva and the Catalan hypertexts. Static typing can guide programmers if feedback is immediate. Therefore, all major IDEs incrementalize type checking in some way. However, prior approaches to incremental type checking are often specialized and hard to transfer to new type systems. In this paper, we propose a systematic approach for deriving incremental type checkers from textbook-style type system specifications. The evaluation of a new diagnostic or imaging device has to focus both on its diagnostic validity and reliability. Cohen's kappa coefficient can be used to assess the agreement of the new device's findings with those of an established diagnostic reference, it therefore presents a surrogate measure of validity. Additional measures of validity are sensitivity and specificity, which assess the order of agreement with the reference for positive and negative reference findings, respectively. The latter, however, can only be applied for binary reference findings.
