Two Ways of Understanding Persons: A Husserlian Distinction

This paper clarifies the distinction that Edmund Husserl makes between two different ways of understanding other persons, their actions and motivations: the experiential or empirical way, on the one hand, and the genuinely or authentically intuitive way, on the other hand. The paper argues that Husserl’s discussion of self-understanding clarifies his concept of the intuitive understanding of others and allows us to explicate what is involved in it: not just the grasping of the other’s actual motivations of action but also the grasping of her motivational possibilities. The paper ends by discussing the dynamic character of the personal subject.

The essay investigates how some religious Islamic rules have been accommodated in front ofthe Covid emergency in some European countries and religious communities, highlighting the different and interconnected dimensions involved in this process of accommodation. The author uses the word country, having regard to the state-territorial legal order; and the word religious community, referring to the Islamic rule of law-religion model, based on a personal law conception. Teorētiskajā daļā es skaidrošu, kas ir izglītojošā semiotika (edusemiotics) un kā tajā tiek definēta mūsdienu sabiedrībai atbilstoša izglītība un zīmju loma mācību procesā un vispārējās dzīves pieredzes gūšanā. Tad pavisam īsi formulēšu, kas ir multimodāli teksti un kā tie aplūkojami mācību procesa kontekstā. Savukārt praktiskajā daļā es piedāvāšu tēmas “Dalīšanās ar mīlestību” izvērsumu 7.–9. klasei. Koniec XX i początek XXI wieku charakteryzują się nie tylko aktywizacją instytucji Kościoła i powrotem wartości religijnych do życia codziennego człowieka, ale i zbliżeniem się religii i nauki. W językoznawstwie znowu zaczęto mówić o tym, że spośród wszystkich teorii nt. pochodzenia języka najbardziej nośną pozostaje teoria jego boskiego pochodzenia. Naturalnym przedłużeniem opisywanych procesów była aktywizacja badań teolingwistycznych.
