Digital and social media and large available data-sets generate various new possibilities and challenges for conducting research focused on perpetually developing online news ecosystems. This paper presents a novel computational technique for gathering and processing large quantities of data from Facebook. We demonstrate how to use this technique for detecting and analysing issue-attention cycles and news flows in Facebook groups and pages. Risks While Deinstitutionalizing Long-Term Elderly Care: The Case of Latvia

The study deals with the deinstitutionalization of long-term care for elderly people in Latvia. The aim of this study is to identify the risks that elderly people, discharged from long-term care institutions, are likely to face. The research method of this case study is document analysis and a semi-structured interview. The research shows that some mismatch between the declared political aims and the current situation which was clarified through interviews exists. The identified risks have been grouped, analysed, conclusions drawn are provided in the paper.

The history of urbanization has barely been analyzed for the Mezzogiorno in Italy. This has partly been due to the persistence of stereotypes in Italian historiography, and partly due to the current definition of city functions. The article results from a meeting of specialists in Early Modern southern Italian history organized to undertake the rigorous and detailed study of the common features and the differences within the urban systems of the Mezzogiorno, in order to synthesize the specific character of urbanization in southern Italy over the long term. The author outlines the main areas under study and establishes its methodological foundations and first hypotheses.

This study aims to (1) determine the behavior of the community in managing household waste in Manokwari Timur District, Manokwari Regency, (2) to analyze the factors that influence people's behavior in managing household waste. This research was conducted in Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data analysis using multiple regression analysis. Abstract The aim of this article is to identify concepts and methods for studying collaboration in context. The article presents a two-level methodology designed to combine individual and group-level perspectives for the evaluation of collaborative knowledge construction in student groups. The group-level analysis is focused on the students' negotiation processes. Literacy skills and online research and comprehension: struggling readers face difficulties online

The present study evaluated the extent to which literacy skills (reading fluency, written spelling, and reading comprehension), together with nonverbal reasoning, prior knowledge, and gender, are related to students’ online research and comprehension (ORC) performance. The ORC skills of 426 sixth graders were measured using a Finnish adaptation of the Online Research and Comprehension Assessment. Results of a structural equation model showed that these ORC skills were divided into six highly correlated factors, and that they formed a common factor in ORC.
