The aim of the research was to investigate the existing human resource management in a health care organization and develop guidelines for improvement, based on the analysis of the theory and empirical research results. In the research a leading health care organization in Latvia was selected. In total, the organization employs over 1300 people, including more than 600 doctors. Why do Third Sector Employees Intend to Remain or Leave their Workplace?

Third sector employees have claimed to enjoy high job satisfaction and low turnover intentions because their work is considered intrinsically rewarding. Employees have strong motivation for public service and they consider the organization’s goals as their own. This makes work meaningful and thus reduces turnover intentions. Changes in the third sector institutional environment, however, have intensified the working environment. This probably undermines job quality and thus increases turnover intentions. The concept of empowering leadership has attracted widespread academic and practical interest and different questionnaires have been developed to measure it. However, there are no instruments to measure empowering leadership in the Spanish language. This article presents the translation, adaptation, and validation of a scale to measure this construct. Abstract In the paper we analyzed the evolution of the number of pig carcasses classified in Romania by the OptiGrade Pro (OGP) semiautomatic method. The analysis was conducted for the period 2009-2015. For this time, the average weight of the carcasses and their quality (thickness of the muscles and the layer of fat) were monitored.

In 2010 some people from Favara decided to initiate a process of recovery and re-appropriation of the abandoned historical centre, by establishing Farm Cultural Park, a private cultural institution. This paper aims to describe the process of sustainable design, social innovation and inclusion, triggered by the Farm Cultural Park in the historical centre of Favara which, by showing its resilience, has redefined its identity, progressing from a place of widespread, unauthorised development to a dynamic creative city.

Abstract: In systems experiencing water scarcity and consequent intermittent supply, users often adopt private tanks that collect water during service periods and supply users when the service is not available. The tank may be fed by gravity or by private pumping stations depending on the network pressure level. Once water resources are collected, the tank can supply users by gravity if it is located on the rooftop or by additional pumping if underground.
