Remarks on negative interest rates
2016
Negative nominal interest rates have been observed in several segments of financial markets. Being only partly a result of supply and demand and mainly enforced by the central banks, negative interest rates are getting more and more popular. While it is relatively easy to identify the reasons for this quite strange phenomenon, the con-sequences, especially the long-term consequences, are not too clear for both scientists and ordinary observers. This paper is an attempt to formulate some remarks on causes, evidence, and possible effects of negative interest rates. A warning is issued, with respect to monetary policy and financial stability.

El capículo versa sobre el tratamiento procesal de la protección por desempleo. Se trata de una cuestión importante en la práctica pues la protección por desempleo es una fuente de gran litigiosidad. El trabajo repasa en primer lugar, la distribución entre los diferentes órdenes jurisdiccionales (social, contencioso-administrativo y penal) de las cuestiones relativas al desempleo. Praca prezentuje w pierwszej kolejności zagadnienia związane z pojęciem umowy franczyzy jako empirycznym typem umowy, jak i teoretyczne zagadnienie problematyki umów nienazwanych. W kontekście treści stosunku prawnego franczyzy zwrócono uwagę na dwie kwestie. Po pierwsze, pomimo braku regulacji umowy franczyzy w polskim prawie cywilnym wpływ na treść stosunku prawnego franczyzy mają przepisy prawa publicznego z zakresu ochrony konkurencji (prawa antymonopolowego). In this chapter, we review the state-of-the-art of the Campi Flegrei caldera (Naples) hydrothermal system, and its behaviour during the last decades. The Campi Flegrei caldera has been undergoing unrest since 1950, as evidenced by recurrent bradyseismic episodes accompanied by manifest changes in the degassing budget, degassing patterns and in the composition of the fumarolic fluids. In-depth analysis of geochemical and geophysical datasets acquired over decades has allowed identification of the mechanisms driving volcanic unrest at the Campi Flegrei caldera. Z jednej strony, obowiązuje dogmat priorytetu restrukturyzacji nad upadłością w przypadku niewypłacalności dłużnika. Z drugiej strony, stan prawny adresowany do reprezentanta dłużnika w istocie rzeczy demotywuje go do wyboru ścieżki restrukturyzacyjnej. Abstract Protozooplankton are dominant grazers of phytoplankton and an important component of the microbial food web, as a link between pico and nanoplankton to higher trophic levels. Their fast growing rate, relative abundance, biomass and diversity are used as indicators of organic and toxic pollution. The impact of urbanisation on ecosystems and their sustainability and biodiversity have recently been much studied. We studied the protozooplankton ciliate communities during the vegetation period from April to October in two small lakes (Bābelītis, Gaiļezers) and two reservoirs (Bolderāja, Saurieši). With the explosion of urban waterfront revitalization projects in the developed world, it is timely to reflect on the relations between cities and their rivers: how the rivers influenced development of the cities, how cities have treated their riverfronts since 19th century, and how the spatial relations of city and river constrain and enable improved connectivity between urban populations and their rivers.
