International audience; Ce travail de recherche, ancré dans le champ de l’analyse conversationnelle (Sacks, 1992), est basé sur un corpus d’enregistrements vidéo réalisé en contexte naturel de production dans plusieurs restaurants de type gastronomique en France. La investigación que se presenta aborda el proceso de formación del comportamiento de queja del consumidor. El objetivo general es profundizar en la naturaleza de este tipo de respuesta a la insatisfacción, describiendo su formación a partir de la contribución de un conjunto de variables investigadas en la literatura. Cat Cafés and Dog Restaurants

Starting from the assumption that space is a language and that food is also a language, what we will try to show in this paper is how these two languages, together, carry specific concepts of animality. For this reason, we will focus on two different places of food consumption that place animals at the centre of their proposal and that in recent years have spread in urban environments: cat cafes, where cats are conceived as subjects to pet, endowed with a predominantly emotional value, and dog restaurants, where dogs are in fact the real restaurant clients.
