Non-abusing mothers' support needs after child sexual abuse disclosure : A narrative review

The role of maternal support has been perceived as vital throughout the recovery process of sexually abused children. However, it is important to look at the concept “support” from the perspective of non‐abusing mothers' personal needs. This narrative review of the literature aimed to find out how non‐abusing mothers' need for support in their responses to disclosure of child sexual abuse has been recognized. The essays starts from Nietzsche's analysis of ancient Rhetorics as pursued in his lecture courses and explores his notion of language as set of metaphors in order to outline two models of truth that can be traced back in greek thought: 1. "judiciary" truth as refutation of the opposite opinion and 2. truth as will to integrate the opposition into a non-violent form of knowledge and agreement.

The first measurement of dielectron (e + e −) production in central (0 – 10 %) Pb – Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76TeV at the LHC is presented. The dielectron invariant-mass spectrum is compared to the expected contributions from hadron decays in the invariant-mass range 0 < mee < 3.5 GeV / c2. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva veidoto izstāžu izmantojamību. Bakalaura darba pētījumā pielietotās metodes: intervēšana un verbālā protokola metode. Pētījuma rezultātā izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies - Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva veidotās virtuālās izstādes ir kvalitatīvs un interaktīvs veids, kā tuvāk iepazīstināt un ieinteresēt lietotājus. Transfection of lipoma cells with papilloma bovine virus subgenomic fragment.

Abstract Lipoma cells with consistent chromosomal aberration have been transfected with plasmids carrying papilloma bovine virus subgenomic fragment (PBV 69). The succesful transformation of the cells was ascerted on the changed growth pattern of the cells in liquid medium, colony formation in soft agar and modified cell appearrance in electron microscopy; transfection with PBV 69 has not been, however, sufficient to immortalize lipoma cells.
PTC124-mediated translational readthrough of a nonsense mutation causing Usher syndrome type 1C.

We investigated the therapeutic potential of the premature termination codon (PTC) readthrough-inducing drug PTC124 in treating the retinal phenotype of Usher syndrome, caused by a nonsense mutation in the USH1C gene. Applications in cell culture, organotypic retina cultures, and mice in vivo revealed significant readthrough and the recovery of protein function. In comparison with other readthrough drugs, namely the clinically approved readthrough-inducing aminoglycoside gentamicin, PTC124 exhibits significant better retinal biocompatibility. Between 2012 and 2016, the American experimental rock band Swans, led by the vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and visionary Michael Gira, released a monumental trilogy of albums comprising The Seer, To Be Kind, and The Glowing Man. The lyrics on all of them portray Gira’s own search for identity, with the result being a peculiar version of spirituality that is both philosophically religious and ideologically anti-religious.
