Alda Merini nace en Milán el 21 de marzo de 1931, y comienza a escribir muy pronto. Gracias al aprecio de amigos y escritores -entre los cuales se hallaban Giorgio Manganelli, David Maria Turoldo, Maria Corti, Luciano Erba-, algunos de sus poemas aparecen en Antología de la poesía italiana 1909-1949, al cuidado de Giacinto Spagnoletti, publicada en 1950. Anti-tumor activity of the methanolic extracts of Salvia menthifolia

In the present research we investigated the anti-proliferative activity of Salvia menthifolia Ten. (formerly Salvia menthaefolia), Lamiaceae, on a glioblastoma cell line, since up to date poor therapeutic results have been reported for treatment of malignant glioblastoma. Methanol extracts from different anatomical parts of S. menthifolia were tested on DBTRG-05MG cell line by MTT assay. The most active primary stems extract was also evaluated for apoptosis induction. Results confirmed the anti-tumor property of all the organs and demonstrated that the primary stems extract induced apoptosis after 4 h with the highest values of DNA fragmentation after 6 to 24 h. OBIETTIVO. Lo scopo del nostro lavoro è quello di valutare l'efficacia del trattamento con pappa piastrinica (PRP) delle lesioni parziali isolate del legamento crociato posteriore. MATERIALI E METODI. Sono stati arruolati 7 pazienti sportivi (5 uomini e 2 donne; range d'età: 18-43 anni; età media: 27 anni) che avevano subito una lesione parziale isolata del legamento crociato posteriore diagnosticata con esame RM ed ecografia. E' stata eseguita una singola iniezione di PRP. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman kirjallisessa osassa käsitellään Passerini- ja Ugi-reaktioita luonnonainesynteesin näkökulmasta. Lisäksi kirjallisessa osuudessa esitellään luonnonainesynteesejä joissa näitä multikomponenttireaktioita on hyödynnetty. Kirjallisen osan ensimmäinen puolisko alkaa lyhyellä johdannolla jossa esitellään luonnonainesynteesiä ja multikomponenttireaktioita yleisemmin. The regioselective synthesis of isomeric 5(3)-aminomethyl-3(5)-phenyl isoxazoles using different methods is described. Spectroscopic data, especially mass spectrometric fragmentation, were used to identify and characterize the regioisomers. The muscarinic activity of these isoxazoles was assayed on isolated guinea-pig ileum and atria as well as on isolated rabbit vas deferens. Abstract Antimuscarinic therapy is the primary treatment for overactive bladder. Long-term persistence with the therapy can be problematical, and has been linked to both efficacy and tolerability. A number of specific contributory factors to poor persistence can be identified, such as adverse effects of medication, insufficient beneficial effects, inadequate follow-up after initiation of therapy (poor motivation), and unmet or unrealistic expectations (poor communication between the patient and physician). Abstract Experimental antiphospholipid syndrome (eAPS) in Balb/c mice causes neuropsychiatric abnormalities including hyperactivity, increased explorative behavior and cognitive deficits. Recently, we have demonstrated that these behavioral changes were linked to an upregulation of serotonergic 5-HT1A receptor binding densities in cortical and hippocampal regions while excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitter receptors remain largely unchanged.
