Teachers´ perceptions about the benefits and safety of the Internet for students with intellectual disabilities may affect their willingness to promote online access for this group. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore and compare the views of pre-service and in-service teachers concerning the opportunities and hazards that the Internet has for students with intellectual disabilities. Ievads. Trimetilamīna-N-oksīds (TMAO) ir jauns kardiovaskulārā riska marķieris, kura metabolisms un riska asociācijas mehānismi ir neskaidri. Ir zināms, ka TMAO līmenis ir augstāks pacientiem ar 2. tipa cukura diabētu, bet tā saistība ar metabolisko sindromu (MS) ir maz pētīta. Mērķis. Noskaidrot, vai pastāv TMAO līmeņa saistība ar MS pacientiem ar paaugstinātu kardiovaskulāro risku. Metodes. Šis ir viena centra novērojošs šķērsgriezuma pētījums, kurā tika iekļauti pacienti pēc specifiski izstrādāta pētījuma dizaina, lai optimāli izvērtētu visus TMAO līmeni ietekmējošos faktorus. TEMPORARY CONTRACTS, EMPLOYMENT PROTECTION AND SKILL: AN APPLICATION TO SPAIN*

In this paper we explain the different conversion patterns of temporary contracts by the impact of employment protection in combination with differences in productivity between workers. We use longitudinal survey data from individuals to estimate a competing risks model with multispells for Spain. The model includes correlated unobserved determinants in the transition rates to deal with selectivity. We find that workers with higher levels of education have a stronger probability of finding a permanent job. Background: Like other combat sports, sambo has competition rules that divide athletes into categories based on gender, age and weight. Athletes in combat sports often resort to rapid weight loss (RWL) methods to be more competitive in lower weight categories and gain an advantage against lighter, smaller and weaker competitors. AbstractTamarix macrocarpa, a species with distribution in Central and North Africa, in the countries bordering the Persian Gulf and in Central and western Asia is recorded for the first time for Europe. Pentamerous flowers and androecium diplostemonous characterize this small tree.
The genus Tamarix (Tamaricaceae) in Apulia (southern Italy)

This survey is part of the floristic exploration activities on the Italian territory related to the identification of spontaneous and cultivated plants of the genus Tamarix L. A list of tamarisks from Apulia (southern Italy) is here reported together with ecological and distributive data. On the whole, 7 species and 1 variety were recorded in the Apulian region. T. arborea var. arborea is the species with the widest distribution in the Apulian territory. The presence of T. canariensis, T. dalmatica and T. gallica, previously indicated for Apulia by other authors, is currently not confirmed.
