Equivalent Circuit Modelling of Ferrite Inductors Losses

The modelling of the magnetic losses in the core of ferrite inductors for power conversion circuits has been considered in this paper. On the basis of the Revised Generalized Steinmetz Model (RGSE) an equivalent circuital modelling has been obtained. The losses are modelled as an equivalent resistance connected in parallel to the inductor. The model has been tested under periodic triangular current waveforms.
Results of the Jyväskylä research project on couple therapy for intimate partner violence : topics and strategies in successful therapy processes

Despite controversy over the indications of couple therapy for IPV, current research has indicated some benefits. This article examines some crucial aspects when dealing with couple therapy for IPV, such as how dominance and power abuse are present, and which important issues should be taken into account during the therapeutic process and be brought up in therapeutic conversations. It also proposes strategies for therapists conducting couple therapy for IPV. Ten studies conducted within the Jyväskylä research project on couple therapy for IPV were reviewed. The subjective experiences of participants in couple therapy have been explored through Stimulated Recall Interviews (SRIs), in which both clients and therapists come individually to watch video clips of their therapy sessions. We believe SRIs offer a good resource for Practice Oriented Research (POR) by promoting meaningful, flexible interplay between scientific research and clinical practice. Team members have different roles, either as “insiders” or “outsiders” of the therapeutic setting. La riflessione di Luigi Calonghi sulla formazione linguistica e sugli strumenti e le modalità di valutazione delle competenze linguistiche degli alunni si presenta ricca e rilevante. Nel contributo ci si propone, in primo luogo, di ripensare all'utilizzo dei saggi per rilevare negli alunni la produzione linguistica scritta e lo sviluppo dell'intelligenza. In secondo luogo, è presentato un adattamento degli obiettivi-criteri di rilevazione dell'espressione scritta, per la costruzione di una metodologia didattica e di strumenti di valutazione dell'espressione orale.
North/south differences among Italian emerging adults regarding criteria deemed important for adulthood and life satisfaction

The main goal of this study was to compare Northern and Southern Italian emerging adult university students, regarding the importance attributed to criteria for adulthood and the levels of life and education satisfaction. Self-report questionnaires were filled by 475 Northern and Southern Italian University students (Age M = 22.91, 76% females, n = 359). Multivariate analysis of variance revealed that Southern emerging adults were more likely to place importance on family capacities, norm compliance, interdependence and role transitions as criteria for achieving adulthood than Northern emerging adults.
