El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar la adaptación y estudio de las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario de consecuencias de consumo de alcohol en jóvenes, forma breve (B-YAACQ) en una muestra de 323 estudiantes de Psicología españoles, de los cuales el 74.3% son mujeres. Se realizó una retro-traducción de los ítems siguiendo las normas de la ITC, y un análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC) con el programa Mplus mediante el método de extracción WLSMV y la matriz de correlaciones policóricas. SUMMARY Porifera (sponges) are, evolutionarily, the oldest metazoan phylum. Recent molecular data suggest that these animals possess molecules similar to and homologous with those of the innate and adaptive immune systems of higher Metazoa. Applying the biological system of parabiosis and the technique of differential display of mRNA, two cDNAs encoding putative FK506-binding proteins were isolated. FK506 is successfully used in clinics as a drug to prevent allograft rejection and is toxic to Suberites domuncula cells in vitro at doses above 100ng ml−1. Aromatic nitration has tremendous importance in organic chemistry as nitroaromatic compounds serve as versatile building blocks. This study represents the electrochemical aromatic nitration with NBu4 NO2 , which serves a dual role as supporting electrolyte and as a safe, readily available, and easy-to-handle nitro source. Stoichiometric amounts of 1,1,1-3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropan-2-ol (HFIP) in MeCN significantly increase the yield by solvent control. The reaction mechanism is based on electrochemical oxidation of nitrite to NO2 , which initiates the nitration reaction in a divided electrolysis cell with inexpensive graphite electrodes. On Grinberg’s Criterion

We generalize Grinberg’s hamiltonicity criterion for planar graphs. To this end, we first prove a technical theorem for embedded graphs. As a special case of a corollary of this theorem we obtain Zaks’ extension of Grinberg’s Criterion (which encompasses earlier work of Gehner and Shimamoto), but the result also implies Grinberg’s formula in its original form in a much broader context. Further implications are a short proof for a slightly strengthened criterion of Lewis bounding the length of a shortest closed walk from below as well as a generalization of a theorem due to Bondy and Häggkvist. Self-regulated learning and formative assessment process on group work

This study aimed to design and implement a formative assessment context for a group assignment. This setting is based on self-regulated learning, the beneficial practices exposed in the literature and the challenges for the next decade. We carried out quantitative research using two questionnaires to measure self-regulated learning skills and the way of working as a group. The participants were 88 students getting a degree in Sports Sciences. Results showed that the reported way of working in groups has no impact on performance. Furthermore, higher self-regulation in their learning style and the use of assessment criteria led to higher performance. We did not find any differences regarding …

Abstract Exposure of mammalian cells to bromate (BrO3−) generates oxidative DNA modifications, in particular 7,8-dihydro-8-oxo-guanine (8-oxoG). The damaging mechanism is quite unique, since glutathione, which is protective against most oxidants and alkylating agents, mediates a metabolic activation, while bromate itself does not react directly with DNA. Neither enzymes nor transition metals are required as catalysts in the activation. The ultimate DNA damaging species has not yet been established, but experiments under cell-free conditions suggest that neither molecular bromine nor reactive oxygen species such as superoxide, hydrogen peroxide or singlet oxygen are involved. This thesis work was carried out using tellurite glasses from the TeO2-ZnO-La2O3 (TZL) ternary diagram for optical fibers manufacturing. The choice to use this system is motivated by the ambition to improve the transmission of optical signals within oxide glasses for which absorption bands related to OH groups are present in the transparency window. Granulometry, mineralogy and trace elements of marine sediments from the Gulf of Milazzo (NE Sicily): evaluation of anthropogenic impact

Granulometry, mineralogy, and trace element concentrations are determined in marine sediments from thirty-six sampling sites in the littoral environment of the Gulf of Milazzo (NE Sicily). Sediment samples were collected in August 2008, along 18 seaward transects, at water depths of ‐10, ‐20 and ‐30 m, by using a Van Veen grab. Grain-size analysis shows predominance of sand (56%) and silt (35%) fractions with respect to clay (7%) and gravel (2%) fractions. Bulk mineralogical analysis documents the presence of quartz, micas, feldspars, calcite, and chlorite, which reflect erosion processes affecting the Kabilian-Calabrian Units.
