This paper is concemed with the experience of time in the Festival of the Fallas of Valencia. It attributes a central role to the concept of festive sociability. The first section summarises basic concepts. A second part describes the Festival. The third section deals with the community's collective memory and its cyclic sense of history. The fourth describes the annual cycle of the permanent festive sociability of the Falla. Effects of assisted training with neurofeedback on EEG measures, executive function and mood in a healthy sample

The training in neurofeedback (NF) consists of teaching individuals to modify, adjust and enhance their brain activity pattern. The aim of our research was to evaluate the effect of training on cognitive processes, specifically executive function, and mood in a non-clinical sample. A sample of 30 female college students were assigned to three groups: RH: right hemisphere (n = 10), LH: left hemisphere (n = 10) and control (n = 10). The dominance pattern of beta and the inhibition of the theta pattern were trained in a single session. En el control estadístico de procesos, la herramienta más utilizada para monitorear el número promedio de no conformidades es el gráfico de Shewhart C. Este gráfico se basa en el supuesto de que el número de no conformidades en las muestras es bien modelada por la distribución de Poisson, y aunque es un gráfico fácil de usar, su capacidad para detectar cambios pequeños es baja, por lo que es necesario tomar tamaños de muestras grandes, aumentando los costos relacionados con el muestreo. A naïve approach to speed up portfolio optimization problem using a multiobjective genetic algorithm

a b s t r a c t Genetic algorithms (GAs) are appropriate when investors have the objective of obtaining mean-variance (VaR) efficient frontier as minimising VaR leads to non-convex and non-differential risk-return optimisation problems. However GAs are a time-consuming optimisation technique. In this paper, we propose to use a naive approach consisting of using samples split by quartile of risk to obtain complete efficient frontiers in a reasonable computation time. Our results show that using reduced problems which only consider a quartile of the assets allow us to explore the efficient frontier for a large range of risk values.
