Maģistra darba tēma ir “ASV kā nozīmīgais cits Krievijas lomas identitātes veidošanā: 2007.-2017. gads”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāds laika periodā no 2007. gada līdz 2017. gadam ir bijis Krievijas diskurss attiecībā uz ASV, proti, vai Krievijas ieskatā ASV to atzīst vai neatzīst kā lielvaru, kā arī to, kādas tam ir attiecīgās sekas vienā vai otrā gadījumā. Darba teorētisko bāzi veido konstruktīvisma pieeja, konkrētāk skatījums uz identitātēm. Tāpat darbā izmantota kritiskā diskursa analīze. Darba rezultāti liecina par to, ka ASV neatzīstot Krieviju kā lielvaru, tās retorika kļūst revizionistiska.

Elevated concentrations of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) promote browning of lakes, which alters the physicochemical properties of water and ecosystem functioning. However, browning‐induced changes in basal production of polyunsaturated fatty acids from the n‐3 and n‐6 families (n‐3 and n‐6 PUFA) in lakes are not fully understood. The concentrations of PUFA, which are micronutrients required to maintain growth and reproduction of consumers, have been suggested to either rise or decline in seston as a response to lake browning. Light availability is the main regulator of primary production, shaping photosynthetic communities and their production of ecologically important biomolecules. In freshwater ecosystems, increasing dissolved organic carbon concentrations, commonly known as browning, leads to lower light availability and the proliferation of mixotrophic phytoplankton. Este trabajo estudia la intensidad de las relaciones matriz-filial en filiales establecidas en Venezuela, a través del análisis de la presencia de mecanismos de coordinación y control dominantes en esas relaciones, tomando en consideración la naturaleza del entorno venezolano. Se utilizó una metodología de carácter cualitativo, basada en el estudio de casos en 41 filiales de diferentes sectores, países de origen y nivel de recursos. This chapter identifies, defines and explores four news media roles of conduit, facilitator, mediator and political actor through which the media participate with corporate, social and political actors in agenda-building processes. The framework of the media’s four agenda-building roles sheds light on how the news media perform their various roles as well as how other actors, such as organizations and media audiences, are able to mobilize the media performing these roles. The Impact of Personality and Motivation on Immersion in Simulation Games

The cognitive-motivational process model of learning describes how personality traits in a specific situation influence current learner motivation and through certain mediators, the learning outcome. This study investigates the influence of personality traits and current motivation on these mediators. For 86 high school students playing a simulation game, the Big Five, the need for cognition, current motivations, immersion, and joy of learning were measured. A hierarchical regression analysis showed that need for cognition, interest, and challenge significantly and positively impacts the experienced immersion. Experimental macroeconomics: a role-playing experience among bachelor students

This current innovative education project has the main goal of introducing students to experimental economics to help them better understand complex macroeconomic concepts. For this purpose, it is used an online experimental platform to develop a role-playing dynamic with which students become real economic agents. This gamified technique allows students to interact with each other in the goods and production factors markets and, thus, generate a circular flow studied as one of the main macroeconomic principles.
