Uwarunkowania parentyfikacji doświadczanej w dzieciństwie i okresie dorastania z perspektywy młodych dorosłych

2016

A Roles-Based Approach to Variable-Oriented Programming

2008

Delocalized variable plans pose problems for novice programmers trying to read and write programs. Variable-oriented programming is a programming paradigm that emphasizes the importance of variable-related plans, and localizes actions pertaining to each variable together in one place in the program code. This paper revisits the idea of variable-oriented programming and shows how it can be founded on roles of variables: stereotypes of variable use suitable for teaching to novices. The paper sketches out how variable-oriented, roles-based programming could be implemented using either a new programming language or a framework built on an existing language. The possible applications, merits, an…

Defining Role-Playing Games as Language-Games

2011

Role-playing games are a diverse phenomenon, ranging from digital games to live action role-playing. Finding a definition that suits them all is hard, but attempts have been many. All of the definitions emphasize some aspects of role-playing games like rules, the role of players or the story. Many definitions do not describe role-playing games as such, but the activity that is role-playing. This paper looks at one of the latest attempts to define role-playing games, by Hitchens and Drachen (2009), and shows some potential problems with it. As an answer to these problems another definition is proposed, consisting of a game world, participants, shared narrative power and interaction. This def…

Eiropas Savienības sankciju attiecināmība uz sankcionētu subjektu kontrolē esošām personām

2022

Šī brīža ģeopolitiskās situācijas dēļ Eiropas Savienības līmenī ir ieviests plašs un visaptverošs sankciju regulējums, kas paredz virkni ierobežojumu pret sankciju sarakstos uzskaitītajām fiziskajām un juridiskajām personām. Tomēr, lai nodrošinātu efektīvu sankciju darbību, šos ierobežojumus ir nepieciešams attiecināt arī pret tām personām, caur kurām sankcionētais subjekts var pastarpināti īstenot savas intereses. Tādējādi bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta Eiropas Savienības sankciju jeb ierobežojošo pasākumu attiecināmība uz personām, kas atrodas sankciju sarakstos iekļauto personu kontrolē. Pētījuma ietvaros tiek analizēti normatīvie akti, Eiropas Savienības institūciju un Latvijas kompetento …

Cognitive Linguistics as the Underlying Framework for Semantic Annotation

2012

In recent years many attempts have been made to design suitable sets of rules aimed at extracting the semantic meaning from plain text, and to achieve annotation, but very few approaches make extensive use of grammars. Current systems are mainly focused on extracting the semantic role of the entities described in the text. This approach has limitations: in such applications the semantic role is conceived merely as the meaning of the involved entities without considering their context. As an example, current semantic annotators often specify a date entity without any annotation regarding the kind of the date itself i.e. a birth date, a book publication date, and so on. Moreover, these system…
