Surgical anatomy of the upper esophagus related to robot-assisted cervical esophagectomy

Abstract Robot-assisted cervical esophagectomy (RACE) enables radical surgery for tumors of the middle and upper esophagus, avoiding a transthoracic approach. However, the cervical access, narrow working space, and complex topographic anatomy make this procedure particularly demanding. Our study offers a stepwise description of appropriate dissection planes and anatomical landmarks to facilitate RACE. Darbā tika analizētas apaļā jūrasgrunduļa bioloģisko parametru izmaiņas Latvijas piekrastē, balstoties uz komerciālās un rūpnieciskās zvejas datu analīzi laika posmā no 2014. – 2018. gadam. Baltijas jūras atklātajā daļā dzīvojošie apaļie jūrasgrunduļi sasniedz lielāku ķermeņa izmēru, nekā Rīgas jūras līcī dzīvojošie īpatņi, izaugot aptuveni par 2 cm garāki. Taču pēdējo gadu laikā abos reģionos ir samazinājies īpatņu vidējais garums, ka arī mazāko īpatņu masa. Papildus analizējot vecumstruktūru un dzimumstruktūru izmaiņas Baltijas jūras atklātajā daļā novērojams tēviņu īpatsvara pieaugums, kā arī populācijas novecošanās, vidējam vecumam sasniedzot 3,6 gadus. Pterochloroides persicae (Cholodkovsky) is an aphid species belonging to the subfamily Lachninae that uses different members of Rosaceae (specially Prunus spp.) as hosts. Partial sequences from the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase 1 (COI) and the nuclear long-wave opsin genes were obtained for approximately 100 P. persicae aphid individuals sampled from 34 colonies collected mainly in Tunisia and other Mediterranean locations. The variability found at the mitochondrial locus revealed the presence of two maternal haplotypes in the studied area that differed in a single nucleotide. Bruniaceae are a small family subendemic to the Cape Floristic Region. Flowers are actinomorphic, choripetalous, pentamerous and tetracyclic. The petals show diverse adaxial swellings, which have been quoted as an example of diplophylly. Developmental studies confirm the true choripetaly of the flowers, thus pointing to an affinity to the Apiales within the euasterids II. They reject, however, the hypothesis of diplophylly as the petal swellings grow out rather late and are not vascularized. According to the position, size and shape of the swellings, six petal types are distinguished, which in part have phylogenetic information. Nectaries occur on the upper part of the ovary. Abstract The paper deals with probabilistic characterization of the response of non-linear systems under α -stable Levy white noise input. It is shown that, by properly selecting a clip in the probability density function of the input, the moments of the increments of Levy motion process remain all of the same order ( d t ) , like the increments of the Compound Poisson process. It follows that the Ito calculus extended to Poissonian input, may also be used for α -stable Levy white noise input processes. Das Buch befasst sich mit dem Zusammenspiel von kognitiven, emotionalen und motivationalen Faktoren beim Aufbau von mündlicher Kompetenz in Deutsch als Tertiärsprache bei erwachsenen Italienern. Es stützt sich dabei auf ein interdisziplinäres Vorgehen, das theoretisch erörtert und in seiner Methodenwahl ausführlich dargelegt wird, insbesondere die Videografie sowie intro-/retrospektive Verfahren. Die Ergebnisse der Studie veranschaulichen die Lernprozesse einmal klassenübergreifend, zum anderen erfolgt eine detaillierte Analyse der einzelnen Lernenden. Das Literaturverzeichnis liefert Lehrenden, Studierenden und Forschern eine erschöpfende bibliographische Quelle zu den behandelten Themen.
