Comparative investigation on the value-added products obtained from continuous and batch hydrothermal liquefaction of sewage sludge

Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) can be considered a promising route for the energy valorisation of waste sewage sludge (SS). However, not much information is available on continuous flow processing. In this study, the mixed SS was subjected to HTL at 350°C for 8 min in a continuous reactor with loadings of 10 wt% in the feed flow. The results show that the mass recovery reached 88%, with a biocrude yield of 30.8 wt% (3.9 wt% N content). The recovered biocrude yields are highly dependent on the selection of the recovery solvent for extraction, and dichloromethane can contribute an additional 3.1 wt% biocrude from aqueous phase, acetone can extract some pyrrole derivatives into the trapped ph…

Abstract In the present paper, kinetics of aluminium evaporation from the Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy during smelting by means of the VIM method at 5 to 1000 Pa has been discussed. To determine the liquid titanium meniscus area and the liquid titanium mean velocity for the experimental conditions of the study, a methodology based on the coupled model of the electromagnetic field and the hydrodynamic field of liquid metal was applied.

Pētījums izstrādāts par tēmu Tautas dziesma kā tikumiskās audzināšanas līdzeklis pirmskolas vecuma bērniem. Pētījuma aktualitāti noteica mūsu laikmeta izmaiņas bērnu tikumiskajā audzināšanā. Tikumiskās vērtības pamazām nonivelējas un daudzās ģimenēs tās vairs nav prioritāte. Priekšplānā izvirzās materiālais aspekts, ātra un viegla panākumu gūšana, bet klasiskās, neapstrīdamās vērtības kļūst par traucēkli. Tas degradē bērnu domāšanu un attīstību. The Model-Driven Development paradigm aims to represent all the information system features through models. Conceptual-Model Programming offers a similar approach, but with a focus on automatic code generation. Both approaches consider modeling and traceability of different abstraction levels, where each level can be tackled with different modeling methods. Towards a Concurrence Analysis in Business Processes

This paper presents first steps towards a solution aimed to provide concurrent business processes analysis methodology for predicting the probability of incorrect business process execution. The aim of the paper is to (a) look at approaches to describing and dealing with the execution of concurrent processes, mainly focusing on the transaction mechanisms in database management systems, (b) present an idea and a preliminary version of an algorithm that detects the possibility of incorrect execution of concurrent business processes. Analyzing business process according to the proposed procedure allows to configure transaction processing optimally.
