According to the leading models in modern finance, the presence of intraday lead-lag relationships between financial assets is negligible in efficient markets. With the advance of technology, however, markets have become more sophisticated. To determine whether this has resulted in an improved market efficiency, we investigate whether statistically significant lagged correlation relationships exist in financial markets. Fungal biodiversity in a new winery and population dynamics in the winery (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and in aging cellar (Brettanomyces bruxellensis)

The interspecific fungal biodiversity (Illumina Mi-Seq) and the dynamics of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Brettanomyces bruxellensis species were studied in a new winery and/or in 3 aging cellars, more specifically on the floor, the walls, the equipment and the outside of the barrels. In the new winery, an initial fungal consortium (yeasts and molds) is already present on all the winery environments before the arrival of the first harvest. This consortium consists of fungal genera such as Aureobasidium, Alternaria, Didymella and Filobasidium. Evolution of microbiological and chemical parameters during red wine making with extended post-fermentation maceration.

Abstract The aim of the present work was to investigate the microbiological, chemical, and sensory characteristics of red wine subjected to post-fermentation maceration that was extended to 90 days. For this purpose, the ‘Aglianico di Taurasi’ grape was used as a case study. The total yeast concentration increased until day 40 of maceration and decreased thereafter, whereas the concentration of lactic acid bacteria slightly increased. Dekkera/Brettanomyces spp. and acetic acid bacteria were not detected. This study focuses on the differences in total phenolic content and its seasonal variations in two temperate brown algae, Cystoseira amentacea (C. Agardh) Bory and Dictyopteris polypodioides (A.P. De Candolle) J.V. Lamouroux, inhabiting respectively the infralittoral fringe and the upper infralittoral zone. Phenolic compounds are secondary metabolites, found in almost all brown algal orders, that function as defense against grazers, epiphytes and UV radiation. Erysacleuxins C and D, new isoflavones from the twigs of Erythrina sacleuxii Hua and their cytotoxic activity

Two previously undescribed isoflavones, erysacleuxin C (1) and erysacleuxin D (2), together with seven known compounds (3–9), were isolated and identified from the EtOAc extract of the twigs of Erythrina sacleuxii Hua (Leguminosae). The structures of the isolated compounds were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic and spectrometric data. Evaluation of their cytotoxicity against the human cancer HeLa-S3 cell lines indicated IC50 values of 130.4, 54.9 and 73.9 µM for erysacleuxin C (1), erysacleuxin D (2) and butin (9), respectively. Dipsacus silvestris Miller (or Fuller’s Teasel) (Dipsacaceae) showing stunting, chlorotic leaf mosaic and narrowing of the lamina, has been found for the first time in Italy naturally infected by Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). This virus was detected in PAS-ELISA tests and molecularly characterized by applying RT-PCR, using specific primers for the movement protein gene of RNA3 (forward 5’ CTA GGC TTT CCA AGC TAC CAG 3’; reverse 5’ CTA AAG ACC GTT AAC CAC CTG C 3’).
