AbstractThe chapter summarizes the roles and tasks of ritual experts and participants within the Hebrew Bible and its cultural environment. The first part reflects on the responsibilities of the kings, the priests, and the priestesses within the ancient Near East (Mesopotamia, Mari, Hittite Anatolia) and ancient Egypt. Then the chapter turns to the concepts of the Hebrew Bible. The second part demonstrates how the priests and Levites take care for the rituals, the sacrifices, purity, teaching, and administration. En este trabajo vamos a relacionar la película de Benito Zambrano Solas (1999) con el género o familia de films del melodrama de la mujer desconocida que propone Cavell (2009). Para ello, después de introducir el “método” asociativo cavelliano, vamos a presentar los rasgos más característicos de dicho género y la imagen de la mujer que en ellos se dibuja: el autoconocimiento de la protagonista, su relación con el mundo masculino, su emancipación del mismo a través de la conquista de la voz. The desire to “do what you love” energizes employment and engagement in creative industries such as digital gaming yet drains hobbyists and aspirants by normalizing expectations to sacrifice job security for passionate work. This article investigates how individuals regulate their aspirations through taken-for-granted trade-offs between vocational compromise and compensation. The paper addresses a puzzle resulting from the current global state of alert: the coronavirus pandemic brought us back to the world of the allegedly sovereign nation states with borders and national governments in charge, yet in fact, this retrieved sovereignty looks very vulnerable and precarious. We explain this controversy through a triad of concepts—sovereignty, governmentality, and post-liberalism—that we apply to an analysis of a corona-imposed state of emergency in Estonia and Finland. Piles of animal bones from large domesticates – cattle and horses – have been identified on various settlement sites in Gaul ; these have undergone practices readily distinguishable from domestic butchery. Already perceptible on rural sites, these indications of a special butchery regime for cattle become more and more apparent elsewhere in tandem with the increasingly urbanised character of settlements. Cattle was also sacrificed during the Iron Age at sanctuaries, but only a small proportion of the meat produced was consumed in banquets held on site.
